I’ve been using an X-Acto knife since the 1960s, mostly professionally. I always hated that the knife rolled all over the tabletop and fell off easily, the cap wouldn’t stay on and you could get hurt, you couldn’t carry the knife around in a pocket or purse, and the blade could get a bit wobbly.Not so with this knife. It’s more ergonomic, it can’t roll on the tabletop, there’s no cap to fall off, it’s safer to carry around in pocket or purse, and the blade doesn’t wobble around as much due to its being supported better by the knife.What I really love is when you go to open a carton, you can adjust the blade length so that it can’t cut deep enough to harm the package contents.

I liked the product description and video. I needed a small blade tip for the thin stencil lines so this product of adjustable blade was ideal for my product. While I use the shortest length on blade, It is not easy to locate the blade tip as the plastic body's round end part impede the short tip vision. It took a while to get used to angling the grip to be able to see the cutting line and blade tip follow on the line top exactly. Also the blade wiggles at first applied on the paper. It is unsecure feeling.No extra blade come in a package so I'll have to buy a lot more if I keep using this NOVA blade.This picture is the image of my first use NOVA blade on my stencil paper, and it is getting dull already.I guess I have to pay a lot more money for the better grade blade. Not recommended for the intricate design pieces.

I would give this 5 stars if the quality was a little better. It's a bit difficult at times to retract the blade. The blades that come in it also feel very flimsy. Otherwise it's great and easy to use. Makes for a safer and quicker experience. Just buy better sharper blades!

Easy to swap out blade if needed and super sharp! The 3 size adjustments are a plus for me! Love how easy it is to grip and use with it’s slick design! Great value for its price!

I use this on all my projects where I need a sharp cut and it is wonderful! The housing is so very comfortable for my hands and fingers. This is now my go to hobby blade!

Great knife! It fits a standard blade, and is very lightweight and comfortable in the hand. Being retractable makes it safe, and it's flat shape prevents it from rolling. I will never use a standard Xacto knife again.

If you are as clumsy as me, then this is for you. It is easy to use, flat so no more rolling of your table and cutting you, safe because the blade is retractable. I highly recommend the Nova craft knif.
