I like this product. It does the work. It’s a very strong chemical that needs care when using. I used it in my pick up truck to fix one of the rocker panels. I brushed the area more than once (3 or 4 times with 15 minutes intervals in a sunny day) it really dissolves rust. Thanks

I used Rust Mort on my home made utility trailer, it had plenty of rust and old paint. After using Rust Mort on the trailer, no more rust and it made the paint ready to accept new paint. Would recommend Rust Mort for anything rusty.

You can watch it dissolve rust. Don't get it on painted surfaces or body fillers.

It’s not a coating, it seems to neutralize the rust, you may want to add a coat of paint on top

SEM 69504 Rust Mort - 1 QuartTo apply you can use a brush. wear safety glasses, gloves, do not get on your skin, eye, or in your mouth.if you do touch it, go immediately to wash it off, do not pass GO, do not collect $200, wash it off immediately. PRE READ what to do if you get it in your eyes. THIS IS IMPORTANT.Used on chrome with rust, cleaned the chrome, applied Rust Mort, (you do not need to use a lot, a little goes a long way), keep wet for an hour, then let sit for 12 to 24 hours.Wipe off with wet cloth then paint, or in this case, I used a clear rubber paint. Rust never came back in 3 years.Used on painted metallightly sand to get the paint off, apply the Rust Mort to the rust, let sit 12 to 24 hours.wipe off with wet cloth, then prime then paint. As explained to me, Rust Mort will change the chemical spec of rust so it will not rust if kept in thatstate. you must seal it in paint to prevent weather from getting to it or the rust will start when the RustMort weakens. weather is your enemy and RUST's friend. so seal it up and keep it that way.I've had good results so far and continuing to use and monitor the results.RECOMMENDEDI do not know the seller and did not receive anything for my random review240408 2349

Many of us own vehicles which have defective paint flaking off. I've been told it was bad primer supplied to the manufacturers. Looking for quite awhile to find something to stop the surface rust in the areas paint has come off and this stuff has worked great! Easy to apply and protecting my steel surfaces again.

If you want to get rid of rust, this is the thing to use, it works well just spray it on let it sit and rinse it off, it will definitely remove the rust

Pricey but effective I think they over charge for this product 10 fold but it works so you only get 3 stars.

This is the best rust converter I have tried. It is quite caustic though so should have more prominent safety advice on the bottle.

Pros: Saves labor/time because you don't remove the rust. The only type of product that is meant to apply over rust, not remove it.Cons: Expensive.Other: I'm a first time user. After researching products to use on a 45-yr-old Ford 3000 tractor that I bought, Rust Mort was perfect for some of the places that were nearly impossible for me to remove the rust. The tractor isn't worth the cost/labor of a full restoration, but I wanted to preserve, if not improve, on the 45-year-old finish.I watched people use Rust Mort on Youtube, so I knew that it's use is for very rusty places. It's not supposed to be used to remove rust. It changes the top of the rust coating to something that you can paint, presumably stopping further rusting underneath the paint. I also used a similar Rustoleum rust converter paint product that was good on some spots, but I think it's better to use Rust Mort and than use a separate paint product rather than combining the two.Although this product is used for direct application on rusty metal, if you can knock off some of the rust with a wire brush or sandpaper, the finish may look smoother after you paint over the Rust Mort. The product worked great for my project. I wish it was less expensive ... more in the $20 per quart range.

Works great on rust, and quickly too. But the liquid is like water so it runs and drips everywhere. You need to cover everything you don't want touched because it's very corosive and leaves a white film. Wipe off all excess. Eats right into concrete.
