Excellent rust preventer. I took a piece of rusty metal, I painted some por15 on it submerged it a bucket of water for a week. The por15 had prevented any rust forming. This is great product.

We used this product 15 years ago in the bilge of a steel boat. It still looks like new. Over the years some outside spots have started to rust. This amazing product guarantees success in the battle against rust. It is the absolute best product out there for steel.

Great product , just wish the "gray" would come in smaller kits cans , had to hunt down small 1/2-pint cans to off load , since product sets up quickly to Air. Hope not to waste product , since only using spirally at a time.

As I stated this stuff is like Gold...both in it's cost and in it's quality. I love this product , not only does it form a gorgeous bullet proof seal on rusted and non rusted metal ... it's also very hard to remove from your hands when applied correctly.This product dries to a glossy show quality finish by just using a brush with no brush streaks ! I use it on old VW heater boxes and other metal parts I want seen.Oh, by the way, this stuff is fantastic at stopping rust too. I use the other usual rust inhibitors and removers and all, but I like this stuff the best for show quality finishes and I don't worry about top coating it at all as I have boxes that still look great after years of use.Those clear as mud instructions on the can say, for clean up, you must use some sort of special intergalactic space liquid decomposing molecular solution or something... but you can just use lacquer thinner.Finally, keep the rim of the can clean to avoid hours of playtime fun the next time you need to use the stuff.

So far I give 5 stars. I just used it after being recommended by a friend to help with some rust forming around the wheel wells of my truck. It went in fine and wiped up good on spillover areas. Too early to rate longevity or if it actually works to prevent more rusting, but so far so good. One thing that was a hit on my purchase was I put clear in my cart, but received gray. When I received my product and saw gray I immediately went back to my order to verify and it had gray there too. I’m certain I chose clear (even sent a screenshot the the person that recommended it to me showing the clear which I still have). Not sure what happened but I chose to keep it because my truck is gray and I needed to use the product asap. It’s not a match to my paint color but it will due. A little on the expensive side, but I’m willing to pay for a product that will work so TBD!

Man, this stuff really works. We live in a condo by the beach, and we get salty breezes year round. In my community, most neighbors have hurricane-proof garage doors, which are made of steel, and rust very easily. My garage door was always showing rusting from behind the paint. I had tried rust oleum paint before, but the rust would come right back within a few weeks. Until one neighbor recommended this product to me. One can of POR-15 was more than enough to paint right over all the rusty spots on the door, and it's been almost a year and no new rust has popped up. I'm very satisfied. My only complaint is that the unused portion became solid inside the can very quickly (whithin a couple days of finishing my project). But I guess that’s just the way it is. Other than that, I'm a happy customer!

Canada Post took 13 days to deliver this from Mississauga to bad for me had to buy another paint to finish the job Also I need to state that the prep is easy for this paint u can leave the rust remove the loose stuff but you must follow the direction to the letter Por 15 paint has never failed me even the under side of a mower deck..I just noticed the delivery remark there is no back door?? left at front door and did not have enough brains to knock at door or ring the Bell do not have to wait but Canada post delivery is always the same just leave it out in the rain!!

This is an amazing product! First time user of the product and it is simply amazing. I used it as a base for my rock sliders on my off-roader. Prepped and cleaned the sliders down shiny bare metal, etched and primed then applied the POR15. A little goes a long way oddly enough. It is the consistency of slightly thinned syrup. I brushed it on, it self leveled and the brush strokes disappeared and it dried to hard epoxy like she’ll. I had to scuff it up with sandpaper and coated that with spray on bed liner. The POR15 dries perfectly smooth as long as you do not over apply the product. Like I said I scuffed the gloss finish, and applied spray bedliner and it looks awesome. I waited 4 days for the bed liner to cure and hit the trail. A few scuffs and scrapes and one good scrape, which is what the sliders are for and it was easy to use a small brush after cleaning and dabbed some POR15 back on the scraped area and agin it self leveled and I hit it with the rattle can of bed liner. Blended in excellently and a few areas the bedliner scuffed but the POR15 held strong. Easy to touch up with the rattle can and the POR15 was as hard as nails. Very impressed and ordered some more to redo the skid plates and rear shin guards. I’m going g to use POR15 to prevent rust and encapsulate the metal protection on my off-roader. I’m sold, can’t believe this stuff sticks like it does and is as hard as it is when dried. If you have never used it, I encourage you to do so. I should have taken pictures. I thought it would peel and scrape off but it is as hard as nails, even rubbing against rocks on sliders. It is frickin’ awesome!

If you want permanent rust proofing then this is the only product out there worth buying, It sets like porcelain and rust will not come back.I have restored a vintage Ferrari with this stuff, a fiat 500 and even coated my old cast drain pipes with it.Use metal prep solution first from por15 before you use this and take care not to get it on your skin as thinners or paint stripper will not remove it and it goes a very long way.I can definitely vouch for this product and I live in Scotland near the se where it rains most of the time.I wouldn't use anything else as rust proofing goes as this is the best there is.
