works great, soaked a bunch of my dad's old tools that were very rusty. cleaned them right up. only problem was the cap on the jug was broken at the amazon warehouse and so i can't reuse the jug. luckily the foil seal was intact and there was no leaks.

1. If you have a number of hand tools which have rust, buy a gallon, not the small quart.2. Place your tools in a narrow container, such as an old juice pitcher, a large coffee can, a small bucket, or a pan that you use for drywall mud.3. Place the hand tools in your container and then fill it up with this fluid.4. Let them sit for about a week.5. Remove and let the tools air dry.6. Spray the tools with WD 40 “rest inhibitor.“Use this and save your high quality tools and other items that have rust.

Yo, CRC Rust Remover is legit 🔥! Had some crusty old bicycle pedal locknuts and washers, thought they were done for, but this stuff brought them back to life. Super easy to use, no nasty chemical vibes, and the rust literally melts away like magic. My bike parts look brand new, and I barely had to do anything. If you’re fighting rust, this is your MVP. 10/10 recommend!

The CRC Evapo-Rust Heavy-Duty Rust Remover does exactly what it promises—removes rust down to bare metal. It’s reusable, acid-free, non-corrosive, and water-based, which makes it a safe and convenient option for dealing with rust. However, I noticed that it takes longer to work compared to other brands I’ve tried. While the results are solid and it does get the job done, you’ll need to be patient. If you’re not in a hurry and prefer a rust remover that’s gentle on your materials and easy to use, this is a great choice. Just be prepared to wait a bit longer for the rust to completely dissolve. Overall, I’m happy with the product, but the slower action is something to keep in mind.

Just remember to soak your hand tools long enough for the rust to lift off. Great for mechanics, plumbers, DIYers, etc. No need to buy CLR or that cheap stuff from the drug store. Works fantastic. Try not to get it on your skin, and wear gloves - it's caustic. Good amount for several small hand tools. Actually removes rusts from cutting knives that are used for hunting(dressing deer, skinning fowl).Don't hesitate to buy this product. I don't work for the company.

I’mULDATE: I used nearly the whole bottle and it didn’t so much :(_____ on my second round of application and expect I’ll need a third. I got this because popular mechanics said it was the best but it’s not doing that much more than the baking soda paste I used. However, I’ve learned that using aluminum foil to remove baking soda actually causes a helpful chemical reaction and I found this to be true. It worked very well but as my stove hasn’t been cleaned in 50 years, it didn’t do enough. Vinegar didn’t do much on my corrosive vintage stove either tho I do find it cleans other things very well. Melamine sponges help with rust too but the ones I got were generic and actually better than Mr. clean so that’s another option. I think this stuff could help. I suspect I didn’t leave it on long enough but I waited at least until it dried. The instructions on the bottle don’t say how long to wait. It just says to submerge your item (I had to spray it) and the rust will eventually go away but it’s up to you if you want to try it out. My stuff also isn’t submerged. It did help a little after spraying it on and leaving it for about 45 minutes.

I wanted to clean up an old wrench (pictured) that was orange with rust; a steel brush made no difference. The Evapo-Rust worked incredibly well, and the only thing necessary was finding the right sized tub to immerse the wrench. Highly recommended.
