HOW TO GET IT WORK:
1. Intall a 9V battery (Rechargable battery recommended), press and release the red button to switch on, wait 1 minute for calibration.
2. Press and release the red button to select work modes.
3, Use“STATIC+TONE”mode for training for the beginning. Use "STATIC" mode if you are not comfortable with the beep, especially at night. Use "TONE" mode after your pet learns to stay away from the mat.
4. Press and hold the red button for 5 seconds to switch off.
TIPS FOR USERS:
1, Wait 1 minute for calibration after turning on, any movement may cause the mat to work improperly.
2, Too much fur on pet's paw might cause the mat not to trigger, trim excess fur before training please.
3, Turn off the mat for battery replacement or new off-limits, 1 minute calibration is also needed to restart.
4, Warning: It is not allowed to test the mat with hands during use!

Very happy with this. Nice Quality. Just don't step on it or the wire running through it will break. We found out the hard way when a heavy friend stepped on it . . . .

We bought this product becuase our cats will jump on our kitchen counter while we are gone. The product has 3 options, sound only, shock only or both. This doesn't hurt your pet. I have touched by accident and it stings you, but it doesn't hurt.It took couple shock for our cats to learn they can't jump on the counter. We have had to put them back on almost a year after to retrain our youngest cat (1year and a half old) and they still work great. This last time, we had to just turn it on, and our cat knew the mat was there by the beep and no more cats on the counter.At first I hesitate to shock my cats, but honestly it doesn't hurt. Your cat will jump of and hide after getting shock, mostly becuase of the surprise factor. My cats have learnt their lesson. I recommend and share this products with family and friends. We love them so much that I recorded more for more surfaces. I highly recommended it!

I have had mine for less than 6 months. It stopped working after about 2 months. I replaced batteries - not the issue. The problem is in the way it is programmed. It only shocks ME when it shouldn't be on as light doesn't work. When turned on, blinks on tone twice then changes to 5 beeps from battery blinker. I shut it down by pushing button for 3 seconds then turn it back on. Again - 2 beeps and blinks from tone then 5 blinks from battery. This is with a NEW battery; the old battery did exactly yhe same. In the meantime, the damn thing shocks me when it supposed to be off AND no blinking light - nothing - from "static" button. I can't trust it to be where I want it to be - static. BOTH units are the same. My dogs got wise to it and have been raiding my kitchen (despite baby gates - they just force them open) for 2-3 weeks now. Not worth the money. AND no link to Seerway - not on their amazon page nor any I could find on internet.

This does work to keep my cats from area I don’t want them in, but only when the mat works. Worked well for the first few weeks then started beeping for no reason. Went through several batteries with same results. So definitely not battery. Seems it just works when it feels like it. Also, this brand does not give you a zap strength option. Just one setting. I prefer different brand that has option for low, med, high zap option. Little too strong for small animal. I tested myself, it is quite a zap. Would not buy again.

This is my 2nd set but a different company. They dont last forever. Even though you try to be careful, you still find yourself or someone else tossing them to the floor or not rolling they properly. Wires do eventually come off and unfortunately its not like you can just sew it back together. Once that happens, they click and i was just plain worried about using them. Fire hazard i guess. Anyways this set price wise is a much better value then the others i had. Work the same except these have 3 setting where the other had 3 sensitivity settings to the shock. And unfortunately someone has to be the genie pig. Nooo not the cat...well he's the one that has to learn. Ok I didnt this time. (Holding my head down) although both cats were the ones to test the other set. This time it was me. I just tested it with my hand, yup that'll work. I keep mine on shock cause who the hell wants to hear the tone all the time depending on how not so smart your cat is (or whatever pet its for)? Not me. So long story longer, yes worth the buy. So far so good as in quality also. Teach your man how to turn it on and off a few times first ladies. Cause apparently holding the button down and waiting for a bright red light to flash 3 times meaning its now off is WAY too hard to understand. Or they're just plain lazy. Smh.

Ordered a two mat package. One of them works fine the other one I placed on the kitchen floor so my cat would stop opening the kitchen drawers to go inside of them. After one night I found the mat moved and the drawer fully opened. The mat was malfunctioning and was not discharging static. When I reset and replace the battery, cleaned and place the mat back on the floor on tone setting only, the mat started incessantly beeping away as if something was on it. Malfunctioned. I had ordered a PetSafe product albeit a lot more expensive. However I think I'll shell out the extra cash for that product that's been working for over 4 months now versus this that's stopped working after 2 weeks.

The things are effective. It ended a decades long struggle to keep the cats off the counters. It goes to show that they always knew where they weren’t supposed to go. They just knew I wasn’t around or that they could out run me. How do I know this? Because the cats won’t go anywhere they know they’re not supposed to. You almost have to remove the mats so they don’t get smart and add the things to their conditional context. Counter = bad vs counter without wavy babbledetoopah (I don’t think they know the word scat mat) = counter party time. We have four so I’m sure they’ve all had their turn with it, they’re all staying off of everything I’ve ever told them to get off of. Now what do I do with them? I guess I can shock my friends with them…

I set the mat up and tested it and it worked. Few hours later I turn it off and moveed it. After that it would no longer turn on. 2 green lights flash and then the red light blinks 3 times. No clue what this means it's nowhere on the paper they provided and I couldn't find anything online either on their website.
