Silencioso, tiene buen espacio para material filtrante. Los materiales son de buena calidad, tengo con el ya casi un año y no ha fallado.

I was never really satisfied with aquaclear filters, so I decided to try another manufacturer. I chose the Seacham Tidal 6500 55gal.It's really nice. Has a strong adjustable flow. It's really reliable. Stays as set and works reliably and quietly.Seems to be higher quality materials and better design.I'm very happy that I decided to break away and try something else.Seacham Tidal 6500, I would highly recommend it!!!

I’m using the Tidal 55 for my 10g nano reef, it’s been running for about two months. The intake tube is almost too long for my 12” high tank, it sits about 0.5” above the sand bed. Thankfully, I can channel most of the flow through the overflow grate instead. Works out pretty well. The noise is there if you’re paying attention to it, but otherwise it’s a dull hum in the background. The aquarium is about 5 feet from my bed, but it doesn’t bother me.The removable media caddy with the built in drip tray is very handy. Lets you clean your media without leaving a trail of water to the sink. Decent amount of room, though I don’t think you’d be able to hide a heater inside. The flow isn’t super strong from what I can see, I’ve got it running 100% in a 10g tank, and it only moves the soft corals a little bit. May add a small power head down the road, not sure yet.The appearance is good pretty clean and non-obtrusive, though I wish the flow adjustment knob was black like everything else instead of bright blue.Overall, quite happy with this filter. Might even be a step above the Aquaclear 70.

I have a 40 gallon tank and I have tried every behind the tank filter out there from the Auto Clear to the Marineland filter. My last filter was the Marineland filter and it started malfunctioning after I had had it for a few years. I could work on it and get it going, but I decided to try the SeaChem Tidal 55 filter. I love the other SeaChem products. I installed the new filter yesterday only adding the SeaChem Purigen product to what comes with the filter. I was a little nervous because allot of the reviews said the filter was noisy. So I was immediately happy when I plugged the filter in and it was super quiet. It was also powerful and gave a nice adjustable water flow. The setup was super easy and does not require I buy a new filter every time I clean the system. The sponge and filtration products can be rinsed and cleaned and reused only being replaced when they are worn out. What a bonus and money saver. The filter also has an indicator that pops up when it is time to clean and an overflow that shows when the filtration is stopped up. My old filter would overflow onto the floor and make a mess when it stopped up or didn’t work right. After 24 hours of use my tank water is the clearest it has ever been and my fish are loving it. So far, this filter is fantastic. I will do an update if things change, but right now I am so happy I bought this filter.

Funciona bien, solo que para acuarios rimless hay que ponerle algo para que el skimmer pueda trabajar correctamente, levantarnos un poco , por lo demás funciona muy muy muy bien, el mejor filtro de cascada

8/19/2021: I've had this filter for a few months now for a 40-gallon and it's doing a great job of keeping the water clean. I test the water every now and then and it's doing great against nitrites and nitrates. The Seachem matrix combined with the sponge is doing a great job, and there's extra room so I added a carbon pad. It's also super convenient when it comes to cleaning. Maintenance is such a breeze with this. I clean the media basket once a week with a water change, and clean the impeller if the water in the filter basket looks dirty. The filter is extremely quiet. When I first started using it there was a buzz from the motor, but it gradually disappeared and now I cannot hear it unless I lean in. I had the same experience with the Seachem 35 so I'd say not to worry if the filter is a little noisy at first. This one has a waterfall sound when the water flowing out hits the aquarium water. Not super loud because there is a flat surface that breaks the speed of the water before it enters the aquarium. It's just like a trickling kind of sound. I find this sound relaxing. I work from home and the aquarium is close by so I enjoy hearing it in the background. The Seachem 35 does not have the trickling sound, maybe because the water force is not strong enough to start with.I originally bought this as a backup to an Oasi canister filter, but now I realize I should never have gotten the canister filter. The canister filter was a nightmare to maintain. Weekly water changes were OK because Oasi makes it easy to clean the pre-filter, but further maintenance was such a pain. You have to clean the tubes with a super long brush and clean all the sponges in the canister. I usually did this with a bucket of filter water in the bathroom and usually it was a mess and a lot of hard work. Those days are so over. Listen, I took have watched a lot of Youtube videos of people taking about what a breeze it is to maintain a canister filter. Well, it's not a breeze. One day I hope to upgrade to an 80 gallon, and if and when I do, I plan to get two of these going instead of a canister.I highly recommend this filter.

One of my local pet shops just replaced all of their AquaClear filters with these. So I decided to try out a 55 tidal just to see for myself.I'm running one Tidal 55, Aquaclear 50, and an Aquaclear 20, on my 75gal aquarium.Definitely a large improvement compared to the Aquaclear 50. A larger media compartment without larger outer dimensions. Greater water flow, and a lot quieter pump. The water outflow is lower in the tank too. Allowing you to have lower tank water levels. The intake is variable in length, and can be removed if you only want to surface skim. The filter primes every startup. Unlike the aquaclear filters. Which sometimes don't prime, even when full of water. The motor was a little noisy when I first installed the filter. But has become completely silent after a week of operation. It measures in at 32db average. Whereas my aquaclear 50 measures at 43db.The black plastic blends in nicely with a black aquarium background. But the bright blue dials stand out in the tank. If they were also black in color, it would definitely look better.Another minor downside is that the surface skimmer cannot be fully disabled. It's always drawing a little bit of water. This could be a problem if you have lots of duckweed. As the plant can be sucked into the filter, clogging the foam quickly.Overall, it seems to be the new top HOB filter. Same cost as an Aquaclear. With greater media capacity, quieter operation, greater water flow, and reliable self-priming.
