I bought these latches to install on a jewelry display case to use in my booth at an antique mall. I could tell by looking at them, if you look at the photo of the backside, it’s very thin metal a good yank on the latch and you could pull it right out,I’m sure. I was gonna use them anyway and just hope nobody gave him a good yank. I installed one of them and then I went to open it that’s when I discovered the little tab is not big enough to hook with your finger. You have to stick your fingernail or something underneath and not everybody has fingernails, I don’t have the long ones. Anyway, even then the loop that the lock goes through is angled downward so it catches as you’re trying to raise the latch. It’s very difficult. After cracking my nail, I decided I wasn’t going to ask others that work in the shop to do the same.

Needed to lock a small display case and this worked perfectly. Could someone pry it off, yes, but used more as a deterrent. Worked great for me.

We bought these for little treasure chests that did not have lockable hasps on them. They worked perfectly and were a similar style class that were originally on them. We loved using them and they were very durable as we used them for an escape room.

It is exactly what I was looking for. I put two wood panels together for jewelry display, and it is small enough to fit on such a narrow side.I am so glad the arms have good tension to hold the panels in place especially for traveling for my pop up shop. There is an option to put a lock in place.Cons:I agree with one reviewer that the plate is almost paper thin, but once it's put on, it's pretty sturdy.

I was using this product for a jewelry box and it worked very well. People in other reviews seem to think they're getting a really solid, strong locking mechanism. It is truthfully and realistically described on the site so it was exactly what I expected and worked well. I would recommend this product.
