It is not suitable for security use. Will be maybe ok for keeping kids from areas where they don't need to be. I took a heavy duty pair of wire cutters and cut right through the staple part. Not what I expected.

I like that the screws are covered so that it can't be opened that way. I appreciate that it can be installed so that the screws are visible also, so it is versatile in that it can be installed across a flat surface or around a corner. It comes with the screws necessary to install it; all you'll need is a drill and a lock. It swings open easily. The black finish is nice and looks good with the paint colors. It is as shown and is made of good quality metal.

I ordered this for my father. He had an outside wood storage cabinet that he needs to lock. This worked out perfectly. The build quality is good and it was easy to install. It is a heavyweight hasp and once he put his lock on it seems very secure. A good quality item in my opinion and a good value for the price.

The house I moved to has a broken lock on the garage door, so for a temporary fix to keep it locked up, this will work perfectly. I don't want anything to be open so this is a sturdy, heavy duty latch that is made well. I didn't want anything too large, but this will work out well for our use.

This latch was gotten for a garden gate. Doesn't need to be fancy. Easy enough to set up just to prevent kids from opening the gate and letting any dogs out like they did before.

I thought I ordered the 7 inch hasps, but I guess I didn't. This lock would work on your cabinet doors. I ordered it for my double door barn doors, I'm not to sure it will be big enough for this. It would be great for smaller doors or even a file cabinet, but not to great for my barn.
