Works great! I love how it tells you the % of charge your battery is at.

I just used it to start a Motoped that had a dead battery. Battery is holding its charge. I believe this was a return unit as the box was double taped on the lid. Charger appeared to be missing any packing such as a plastic bag. None of the cables had ties. They were loose in the box. No foamcore protection? Charger was loose and moving in the box. Sticker on the backside was falling off for some reason IDK why. It does work though, and it's not beat up. I plan on keeping it.

Operates as designed for my year of ownership at this point. I keep it for jumpstarting and battery maintenance on an rv, 2 boats, a side by side, and 2 trucks. Haven't had it even so much as heat up more than a couple degrees above ambient in all weather conditions. I don't recommend throwing it around but it appears pretty sturdy considering as much abuse as it's taken.

This charger is really a great thing to have around. It does so much and pretty easy to use as well.

High quality charger. Automatically chooses the battery type. The digital readout is nice. I really like seeing the percentage readout. I docked one star bc there isn't a good way to manage the cables and power cord. I wish they would add some type of built in cord wrap or something. Other than that, no additional complaints.

I bought this 3 years ago, the first one that amazon shipped to me ended up being a used dirty scratched up unit that didn't work right, it was suppose to be a new unit. Amazon returned it and shipped me this unit, it looked new but the box didn't have a user manual. The first time I used it on my car battery it seemed to function right, it went right to work and even did the recondition function and after it was finished charging it turned off. The next time I used it on the same battery it charged the battery but never would turn off, the battery % button wouldn't work either, never really knew if the battery was completely charged or not. Now it's 8/24 and I put the charger on my camper battery bank four 6volt batteries wired as one 12volt battery. At first it went to work but seemed to be working to hard, so I broke the battery bank in half, charging just two 6volt batteries as one 12volt but the charger still worked to hard, the cables and clamps got hot. The charger never turned off but it did charge the batteries. I then hooked it up to the other set and it didn't do much, the cooling fan came on as soon as it was plugged in but it was not charging, panel lights were on but nothing, it's dead. Used 3 times and that's it. Schumacher used to be a great quality product but not anymore. My unit shows it was made in Mexico, not in the USA. Of course it's out of warranty. Not happy in the least.

This item is heavy, which means it's built well. Priced very well. Satisfied.

This was connected to a deep cycle 6v 225Ah GC2 interstate battery.(250$ replacement value)700w dumped @ 15.6 into a 6v battery.Still partially deaf from this hydrogen explosion and luckily not blinded.Pictured are the remains of commercial hydrocaps (60$ replacement value) that are in service across the globe without issue, until they met a Schumacher SC1308. This wasn't a ventilation issue - it was an unregulated charge condition combined with weak flimsy clamps that move on their own and generate sparks. I was reaching for a clamp to adjust it when it moved on it's own and reset my reality with an explosion.Less then a minute on charger when this happened.Display only showed 'ON' - Not 6, not 12, just 'ON'.Charger was doing it's thing, it's the cheap clamps that were the cause of this dangerous and expensive situation. Real clamps have been ordered, the stamped sheetmetal clamps provided have weak springs, corrode just looking at them (arrived brand new with corrosion) and will not reliably stay where they were clamped simply due to the weight of the cables connected, and those are not particularly weighty.310+ in replacement expenses for trusting this device with it's cheap clamps.Hole is my eardrum = priceless.Folks need to know this to protect themselves and their property.

This charger is easy to use. The setting selector shows which mode you're using. A digital display tells you what charge percentage the battery has. Hook it up and leave it !

This is used everyday in a commercial automotive shop, primarily for keeping batteries charged during the endless electric and hybrid cars module programming. Always keeps batteries where you want them, once it detects the battery has been charged enough it goes green and reduces just to a maintain flow. Automatically switches from high charge to low charge when needed. Jump starts dead batteries as well but dont expect it to jump start anything crazy. Excellent product, the crew loves using it.

Thus far, "subject" of review seemed to work efficiently & effectively compared to my previous charger, though i personally find subject rather heavy. Subject seemed to charge much quicker to 100% on the one marked 2-6A button than my previous charger. on the other hand, my previous (much lighter) charger, before it became inoperative, was limited to charging 2-4-6A (3 separate buttons; i always had it charging at 6A), while subject ranges fr. 2-6A to 30A & 100A (3 buttons), ostensibly to enable it to speed up charging as well as to jump-start the car if required, both of which (30 A & 100A) i have not attempted as i had primarily intended its use to trickle charge the car battery during minus C degrees in Vancouver, B.C. winter (admittedly usually mild winter), as the car was always parked outside.

It comes with a US plug and is incompatible with UK 240 volt supply. There is no indication of this either on the Amazon page or on the charger's box. A massive inconvenience returning it to the USA
