This requires too much pressure before it actually works. My cats are under ten pounds and could walk all over it without issue. I kept trying different things to see if it would work, but it never did. I finally just sent it back after watching my six pound cat jump on the table and walk the entire length of this without it going off even once. I think it could work better for large cats. When I tested it myself it worked ok.

Animal must be touching two wires firmly and for a few seconds for the machine to work. By then, the animal has already moved on. It's pretty useless. I hate I wasted the money.

I have German Shepherds, and while I don't mind them being on the couch we hardly use, I can’t have them on my bed due to my allergies. I vacuum the couch when I clean, but the bed is a different story. I really hate coming home after a long day at work and finding fur all over my sheets because the dog jumped on the bed while I was out. Having to wash the sheets again is the last thing I want to do when I’m exhausted. This product worked great! It only took once for my dog to learn, and now he stays off the bed and lies in his bed on the floor next to mine. Thank you!

Works. Definitely make sure you read the directions though. I thought it didn’t work at first but you have to do a mini calibration each time you move it/reset it. It’s easy and quick though. Place it where you want, turn it off for like 20 seconds, turn it on, don’t touch it for 20 seconds, then it’s set to go. I used the highest setting with the beep and the cats stayed off the counter after one touch. It didn’t hurt them, or me (I tried it on me before using on them obviously) just shocked them enough to the point they didn’t want to try again. Would recommend.

Got it for behind my couch where some feline decided it was her toilet room. Sometimes it works and will remind them and other times it gives them a free pass. Eats through batteries (9v)

This item did not work at all with our dog. Perhaps it was because the wire was detached from the mat, so there was no shock, but even the audio was just a little beep we returned this item.

My cat walks all over this thing like it's nothing. I know it works because I tested it with my hands, but it's definitely not sensitive enough for my cat, which defeats the whole purpose... If it's measured by weight, I don't recommend it if your kitty is under 10 lbs. I was really hopeful for this product because my cat has a bad habit of trying to run out into the apartment hallway, and the last time she did it she was met with a dog that she RAN TOWARDS instead of away from. I got spooked and purchased this, but I'm going to unfortunately have to return it.

The mat is on my counter top, directly in front of my baby’s bottles. I had a major issue with our cats jumping up there and destroying the bottle nipple. This mat has stopped them from getting to them completely! We have this mat and some skat mats along the counter and we no longer have an issue. They got shots once each, now when they jump up there, all it takes is for them to hear the beep and they are out of there! The beep is loud enough to get their attention and eventually scare them offThe shock is strong enough to keep them off!

The good:Cheap and it shocks ..well, sometimesThe bad :It won't lay flat even after 3 weeks like you see in the pictureMy Maine Coon cats are rarely shocked due to their hair on the paws ,making it almost uselessThe gap in between wires could be smaller to accommodate smaller pawsThe electric shock is too powerful for a cat ,maybe good for a larger dog .The beep comes at the same time as the electric shock, should be a second before .All in all it somewhat works ,but not all the time and when it does is too powerful

Just the size I needed and seems to do fine with battery life. It can switch between tone, static, or both together. Each has 3 intensity levels. The only thing that could be better is the sensitivity could be a little higher, it misses a hand or paw on it sometimes. But it got my cat off my counters when nothing else could!
