Comprato a marzo 2023, credevo fosse un buon prodotto. Da ieri non funziona più. Il Mac non lo riconosce più e, per fortuna, all'assistenza ho recuperato i dati dell'hard disk. Praticamente da buttare.

Looks nice with my computer. It’s the same color. Ease of use because all the ports are right there in the front you don’t have to reach behind the computer. Keyboard sits nicely on top of it when storing.

This is an excellent product. Very well constructed. Adds much needed ports and additional data storage to the iMac. Even though the description reads for M1/M2 iMacs it will also work with the newer M3 iMacs as well. It took me awhile. to start putting it to the test and I came across an issue while copying files to the SSD. It would disconnect and stop the file transfer with an error message. In looking over the reviews I noticed that a reviewer downgraded their review because of this or possibly a similar issue. After contacting Satechi tech support Very responsive btw). This is what resolved the issue for me, maybe this will help that reviewer. The following was from Satechi Tech Support1. Drive Installation: Confirm that your M.2 SATA drive is correctly installed. Ensure the drive is properly seated at an angle, and securely tighten the screw.Installation Guide: https://support.satechi.com/hc/en-us/articles/4402687428507-Quick-Guide-and-Instructional-Manual2. Energy Saver Settings: Open Preferences on your Mac. Navigate to Energy Saver. Disable the option to put hard disks to sleep when possible. If using macOS Ventura: In Display > Advanced, toggle on "Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off."3. Hub Reinitialization: Disconnect the hub from your Mac. Restart your Mac to reinitialize the setup [Ensure the Dock is disconnected, and all devices are unplugged.]4. M1/M2 Chip Mac Reset: Mac Minis with M1 or M2 chips do not have an SMC. You can perform a reset similar to the SMC reset: Shut down your Mac. Wait for 30 seconds after the computer is completely powered down. Press the power button to turn on your Mac.I believe that disabling the option to put the hard drive to sleep was what resolve the issue, but I did them all since they were pretty easy.Good Luck

I purchased this device hoping to clean up my desktop by using the NVME SSD as my Time Machine, which would allow me to remove the existing external SSD. However, that has been a non-starter.1) The SSD installation is very wonky. There is no retention screw or clip. Instead, the user is supposed to use a rubber plug to hold the SSD to the case. Unfortunately, the plug is not a tight fit, and the drive springs up. They provide a silicon strip to help hold it in place, but still it is a very poor design. All they had to do was include a standard M.2 retention clip.2) The drive will not stay mounted even after I disable the energy-saving features. My other external SSDs stay mounted, so I do not believe it is a setting issue on my iMac.3)Technical Support is abysmal. To file a support ticket, users must identify the device from a pull down menu. However, this device is not apparent in the menu. There is a support number. However, it is only manned on weekdays from 8-5 PST, which are my work hours. This device will be heading back to Amazon. Now I have to figure out what to do with a 2TB M.2 SSD.

Looks great with my blue iMac. Does not look like an add on. I have added 2 TB in the available slot and it works great. It is nice to have the additional ports.

Great device tailor-made to work with an M1/M2 Mac Mini. Very easy to add an NVME drive, and it gets great results. The additional ports make my M2 mini fully functional, and the Satechi is much more attractive than most other port extenders.

S’intègre parfaitement au iMac 24. Idéal pour un besoin d’espace disque supplémentaire avec l’ajout d’une carte NVME.

OK, I did a little research and loved how this fit on the stand of my iMac, M1 type. It allowed me to connect my legacy USB drives and I've had no sees with that. The problem is with when you install the NVMe drive, it keeps dropping off while porting files over to it. I double checked the installation and I made sure not to exceed 2 Tb, but it still "disappears". I'm using a WD blue and not a cheap run of the mill drive. Wish this would work better because I got all excited about having a steady drive that didn't take up another port. I have it plugged into the Thunderbolt ports as well
