Offline Clone: Step 1
Insert 2 SATA hard drives (Slot 1: Source HDD, Slot 2: Target HDD), connect power adapter, and turn on the hard drive dock by pressing power button

Offline Clone: Step 2
Long press the clone button for 3-5 seconds until the first blue light (25%) flashes

Offline Clone: Step 3
When clone is finished successfully, all 4 blue lights (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) will be on

Offline Clone: Step 4
After clone, insert only target HDD and connect to computer. Go to "Disk Management" to find the unallocated partition, and choose "New Simple Volume Wizard"

I've used this product for several months. It's really good. I had some issues with my PC no longer seeing two older hard driver and this fixed that problem. Never had any issues with it, drives never disconnected and the transfer speeds felt just as good as before but I never really tried comparing. I also love how easy and quickly it recognises a new drive - changing drives feels now like inserting a memory stick. Great product for a really competitive price.

This hard drive docking station is very useful if you have any 2.5” SSD’s or 3.5” hard drives. I have many of them. I used to use them to store movies. I can now access them over USB and transfer them to my new drives. It’s very easy to use.

I purchased this a gift to my myself (a Black Friday gift). I received it on 9 December 2024 and conntected it to my Windows 11 PC. It was detected directly without any hassles. I put 2 hard disks in each bay. The first time two 3.5 hard disk drives. It worked flawless and I could copy files between the two drives without any problem. I changed then one of the hard disks to a 2.5 hard disk drive. It worked also without any problem. The power supplier can even be connected to a USB-C which is excellent. This product is a game changer for me who works with many externa hard drives.

I'm not really using this for the duplication function, but I tried it and it functions I guess. Really, I just need it as a quick disk swap dock for dealing with multiple drives that have to be zeroed and formatted. I just don't understand why you would want to put RGB on something like this. It's just a duplicator. Anyhow, easily recognized in Macs and Windows (even Linux). Hard to mess these up.

I have several high capacity SATA hard drives with days of photo, video, and audio files on each. I also needed a way to make frequent backups of work in progress, simulation states, aircraft settings, etc.This is very easy to install, it is literally plug and play. Holds two high capacity 7200-10000 rpm drives, allowing them to be used together, separately, or to clone the drives. Drives are recognized almost immediately upon insertion, and can be individually removed and replaced at will. Speed is what you can expect from SATA drives, about 480 Mbps, though formatting seems faster. It does cause minor delays while the drives spool up to do read/write functions, but such drives always did that. The overall functionality of the device, however, makes it easy to overlook this one issue.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The Fideco hard drive docking station worked so much better than trying to use those cheap sata to usb connectors that I've been using. The speeds for read and write were far better than the external sata to usb connectors were. I've yet to utilize the drive to drive clone feature it has but i would assume it works very well. I like the rgb though not necessary but it helps light the area up. I like that the connection cable is a usb c and has an attached usb c to usb a 3.0 adapter. Comes with its own power plug so no need to worry if your usb ports provide enough power. Very simple to use and my pc identified the connected drives very promptly. Good build quality and both 2.5 and 3.5 drives fit very well in to the drive bays and snuggly too, no wobbling. Perfect external drive docking station for anyone considering adding one to their pc tools.

This dock doesn't just copy partitions, it does a bit level clone of the drive. This is great for encrypted drives, or for forensic work. That means it clones not only what is on your drive now, but the remnants of anything deleted in the past.It's bad for every other use case I can think of. Why? Because it is slow. It is super slow.It took 2.5+ days to clone a mostly empty 6TB drive. It took ~40 minutes to clone an 80GB drive.It would have lost more stars for the slowness, but it DOES work perfectly. Just slow. It's also priced well, which pulled it back up to 4 stars imo.

I have numerous internal HDDs and SSDs and have purchased many hard drive enclosures and connectors to read them. Each has flaws that have made the case for my continuing search for the one I am satisfied with. When I came across this docking station, I nearly passed it until I saw its offline cloning capabilities. I am glad I ordered it. While most might find my first mention insignificant, the dock's packaging is well-made. The significance is a sign (to me) that always shows the manufacturer cares about producing a quality product.After removing the unit, it felt slightly lighter than expected and inexpensive. However, that thought vanished quickly because of the high quality of the power adapter and USB C (A) to USB B cable. Once attached to my UPS and PC, I realized the docking station was not fragile; the internal components and slot covers were well-constructed and felt solid. The connection was straightforward, and my PC recognized my 4TB internal HDD without issue. I quickly browsed files and transferred them between my PC's drive and flash drives. I then placed an internal SSD into the dock and had the same positive experience. After so many failed purchases, I have finally found the perfect product. I thought I might immediately turn off the RGB lights (as I always do with computer electronics), but I chose instead to enjoy the ambiance they provide. It felt soothing. However, you can turn them off by pressing the "RGB Switch" on the back of the hard drive dock if you are bothered by them or find their presence unnecessary. The problem I encountered was that the 4TB drive would not eject. I gave it time to end all programs used with the HDD, and it still would not be unmounted. I had to restart my computer to remove it safely, but it sometimes happens with my external HDDs/SSDs and flash drives, so I am not too worried about it.It has to do more with a program than anything else, and hopefully, I will pinpoint and isolate it soon. I still need to utilize the cloning feature. Still, as I upgrade and switch drives often, it will be far more efficient than my usual method of backing up everything to external drives or transferring via the hot-swappable feature in my main PC (which takes far too long). The FIDECO Hard Drive Docking Station is an excellent product, and I highly recommend it (especially at the price point). If I encounter any issues or failures you can trust, I will return to update my review and rating to reflect it. For now, I easily rate it perfectly. 5/5
