I bought it to clone a SATA to a SSD, and it didn't work and got stuck at 25%. I think it was a defective source SATA because it wouldn't clone on another brand either which stuck at 75%. If your present SATA is having issues, you might not be able to simply clone it.Other functions seem ok, I might use it in the future to back up data.

If you clone hard drives and SSDs in order to preserve data and files, this is a very good solution. I tried it out in "Solo" mode, not connected to a PC, and it took a little over an hour to clone a 1TB hard drive to a 1TB SSD. This was for an old Windows Vista operating system, which can be a pain in the neck if you try cloning it on a PC with a modern version of Windows. No big deal, no issues. It just did what I wanted. The "light show" at the base of the unit seemed like over-kill, however, it also shows if the data transfer is going smoothly. Super fast, one day, delivery by Amazon. Highly recommended.

Ich hab mir das Brot gekauft, weil ich einfach noch eine Dockingstation für Festplatten gebraucht habe, da meine anderen die ich noch habe belegt sind und eine von denen nicht wirklich richtig brauchbar ist, zumindest nicht wenn man die Smartwerte und der Linux auslesen möchte. Dies läuft bei dem Produkt, was ich mir hier gekauft habe. Einwandfrei, ich kann nichts Negatives dazu sagen, allerdings habe ich an dem Produkt einen Schalter gefunden, der für mich keinen Sinn ergibt, Direkt neben dem ein Schalter. Die offline Klonfunktion habe ich noch nicht benutzt, dieser Schalter befindet sich nämlich auf der anderen Seite, brauche ich vorerst auch nicht.

Couldn't find the info when I was purchasing this dock but took a gamble anyway. This dock works with my Seagate Exos 24TB drive.I like the overall design. USB-C connection is really convenient and the RGB lights on the bottom are actually kinda understated and not too distracting.

Works very well both as a hard drive dock and a disk duplicator. It seems slower than other sata units i have used, but its well worth the money.

I wanted to updated the harddrive in my computer, but I didn't want to mess with reloading the OS and all the programs and files. The obvious way to do this is to clone the drive. You'll find programs to do this, but few are free and most are complicated. All I wanted to do was clone the drive. I ran across this unit while I was looking for an adapter and it sounded too good to be true but just what I needed. I ordered it and a Samsung SSD. Today I took the computer apart and followed the instructions for cloning a drive found in the instruction book. It was impossibly easy: remove the harddrive from the computer, plug it into in slot A and plug the new SSD into slot B, turn it on, and push clone! It takes a while, about 2 and 1/2 hours for my drive, but hours less than reinstalling everything would take, not to mention absolutely no effort. I installed the SSD and turned the computer back on. It was just like before, except things loaded much faster with the new drive. I can't believe how simple it was! If I ever need files on this or another computer, I can plug the old harddrive into slot A and connect it to any computer with the included USB 3 cable. Frankly, I don't care if I never need it again; it did what it said it would do and did it perfectly. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to clone a drive!

Worked for me right out of the box. only thing is do not be in a hurry, 1TB HDD to 1TB SSD took 5.5 hours. No issues and it did exactly what it says, plug and play.

Hätte ich so nicht gedacht, aber die Station ist zuverlässig und schnell.Preis Leistung ist somit Top.Schade nur das man diesen lichtbalken nicht abschalten kann, damit kann ich aber sehr gut leben 😊

Overall this is a great piece of hardware. It did exactly what I wanted it to, which was cloning my original 3.5" 1.5TB HDD to a new 2.5" 2 TB SSD. There are a few things to note however.If you are trying to clone one 3.5" HDD to another 3.5" HDD, this most likely will not work for you. I tried this initially since I had purchased a spare HDD years ago identical to my original HDD. This docking station does NOT seem to have the power to supply both drives at once for cloning. It will power cycle on and off. It did not let it do this for very long in fear of it messing something up. I noted at least one other person reviewing this item had the same results when trying a clone of two 3.5" HDD's.Another issue that I only found out in the fine print AFTER purchase was that your destination drive must be as big or bigger than the source drive, even if your source drive is only partially full. I originally purchased a 1TB SSD to clone to. I thought this would be enough since my original 1.5TB HDD was not even half full. Instructions state that this will NOT work, so I did NOT try it. I did not see this information advertised anywhere when looking at this item on Amazon. I may have missed it though.So I purchased a larger 2.5" 2TB SSD and cloned my original 3.5" 1.5TB HDD to it with no issues. It did take some time (About 4 hours) but for me this isn't a big deal. I just set it up and did something else. The unit does get warm while cloning, especially when it takes hours. I had a small fan nearby to keep the electronics cool.Overall I am VERY happy with this device. It did exactly what I needed and was extremely affordable. The colored lights in the base are a nice touch too....they are almost mesmerizing.For the average person who only needs to do the occasional clone, this will work well for you (As long as you read the exclusions I mentioned earlier).

Received message from seller saying they decided to fully refund me due to late delivery?! Honestly, although I do not remember the arrival date, it is not that long and is acceptable to me haha. Anyway this seller is going into me reliable list.The produce arrives in mid December and function fine so far. I bought it since my old docker (WavLink ST-336A) started to disconnect itself frequently after 3 months of used. This one looks great and working fine. I think I will update this review after months.Update:Today is 2022.03.28, roughly three months since the purchase. Starts to observe randomly disconnections and it is quite frequent. I dont understand ... these docks only have one simple job and they cannot do it. I will leave it two stars for the refund but it is for sure not something one should purchase.
