I've got four of these in four ProLiant servers and they work seamlessly. I had fought with the onboard controller and HP RAID and finally gave up with those. Installed these little rascals, setup my pool of hard drives using ZFS and Viola! Disk Pool heaven! No more fighting with drivers or firmware.I'm using 16-bay enclosures (Noctua NF-P12; Noctua controller; Thermaltake 850W power supply; Cablecc ATX PSU adapter) for the drives (Hitachi HGST Ultrastar HE10).This seller has the best price on the 9211-8i. The unit comes well packaged and includes the SATA cable pair along with a low-profile riser tab.You really can't beat this for the price and you won't go wrong purchasing these for your home setup.
