This product must be all glued together because after 2 months it split down the side with an 1/8” gap. Then a 2nd split in the wood started. This is a piece of junk

I bought another one before just two made out of slits of bamboo and they came apart when I made the meal. This one looks fantastic and is very well done and very well made it's not going to fall apart on you. So I suggest don't get that other one that's made out of bamboo because their little slits of bamboo and or made out of pieces of bamboo put together and with the heat or with the matching of whatever you're mashing inside there it starts to separate and it's really quite a mess. But this one this one is good buy it

I'm reading the mixed reviews. But looking at it, it looks like it's 3 pieces glued together. Overall, looks well made and it's a good size for small spices and herbs.

I lost my bamboo mortar and pestle in a fire, and have been looking for a small, sturdy replacement. This one is perfect. I use it regularly to make popcorn salt, which is just more finely ground table salt, and occasionally to crush seeds like cumin. Easily cleaned with a quick rinse. BONUS: The wood is beautiful, more so then what is pictured.
