Love it. It was def. work to season it, but so worth it. Foods taste so much better made in this. 👍🏽

Came broken - I returned it. It may pay to buy from a brick and mortar.

Bought as a gift. Didn't realize there is a seasoning process before you can use it. Several methods are available online. It does take some elbow grease to go through the process and I did feel it for a few days...Not indicative of this maker, just the product in general. Well made and very heavy. Will certainly spice up your parties and make for a festive serving dish as well!!!

It's such a gorgeous piece. I am almost hesitant to use it vs placing it as a show piece. The bowl is a perfect size for my use, wonderful lava stone material, and very sturdy. Even the pestle is ergonomic, of the same hard material, and beautiful like the mortar. I can even feel/see the chisel marks around the exterior of the basin and the natural unevenness at the top of the bowl (pictured). That's definitely a 'real stone' material hint. It even smells good. Unsure what else the seller sells, but there's a wonderful scent emanating from it. Just a little happy bonus there! Wonderful buy!

Authentic, very heavy and larger than expected. Happy with this purchase

Like a few others, this unit came in damaged with one leg broken off. The paper packing around it just isn't sufficient for the travels from the seller to the buyer. It was a bit disappointing but I decided to glue it and see if it would hold. After seasoning it, cleaning it, and making a fresh batch of salsa it held on its own. I am good with keeping it and feel the "blemish" is part of its uniqueness. The pestle is a bit wide and may be a little awkward for some people.
