About this item

  • Alkali and Ultraviolet resistant
  • Gives uniform color throughout mixed cementitious material
  • Can be mixed with concrete mixes, mortar mixes, sand mixes and most cement based products
  • Used for pigmenting portland and masonry cement products
  • Use 1 package of Sakrete Cement Color per 80 pound (36.3 kg) or 60 pound (27.2 kg) bag concrete, sand, or mortar mix. One package of Cement Color will yield a darker color in a 60 lb bag than in an 80 pound bag. Use less color if a lighter shade is desired.

The powdered color is perfect but use it sparingly. It's very concentrated.

I am going through a major repair of my house. I have precast concrete pieces that line each doorway. We had to remove them to replace the drywall underneath. When putting them back on, we need to match the grout color exactly with the precast. This product was almost impossible to find in any of the local hardware stores. Amazon came through! Able to find the exact product I needed and order it. Delivery was extremely fast and now I can finish my repair project. I am definitely very happy with this product.

Very effective. Be careful it doesn't take much to make a nice light tan color.

This stuff looks shockingly orange in its dry, unmixed state. So I added a moderate amount to my cement, but I’m not sure it added any color at all for me. Take the time to experiment. Measure and record your amounts, apply, and let dry before you dive in to your finished project if you care about achieving a certain color.

Used this mortar colorant for grouting in a vertical wall flanking some steps. Mixed up well and provided a uniform color in the mortar.
