I liked that it covered almost the complete smell of cigarettes in my apartment, I feel it did a 95 % job of the claim to cover the smell. It will make your paint thinner but this product is a game changer and I would buy this again and recommend it.

I read lots of reviews to try to fix my issue, which was animal and smoke smell from an apartment.Lots of reviews said it leaves a super sweet smell but disapates and works better than anything else. Also it's advertised as one jar for TWO gallons of paint which was a joke. I used one jar in One gallon of paint. I painted the walls of a 12x11 foot room. It didn't smell sweet. And didn't remove any of the smell damage. So it was a waste of money.I even bought a second one to see if maybe I just got a bad batch. Same result. Did not work. Changed the consistency of the paint to watery/thinner.Very disappointed. oh well

Re-painting my house and I use this product to eliminate smoke smell and musty odor by adding one container per gallon of paint. Used this product six years ago because I could not eliminate smoke smell in my house I was trying to sell. Had to repaint two rooms were the majority of the smoking was done added this to each gallon of paint and the smoke smell was gone finally did sell the house. This stuff flat out works.

I do not usually write reviews but this time I have to make an exception. This product exceeded all my expectations. I used it in my rental property garage, where my tenants kept their dog. To say it stank would be an understatement. After painting the walls with Zorbex mixed into the paint. The next day the oppressive odor was gone. Just a faint sweet smell, which I am sure will dissipate in a few days. Excellent product, highly recommended.

I've used the ZorbX additive in latex quite a few times over the last 2 years for dealing with cigarette smoke smells in rentals. The product seems to work pretty well but it tends to leave a lasting odor of its own that is quite pungent and takes many weeks to die down. However there seems to be a common ingredient/chemical that is used by Zorbx and other manufacturers to fight cigarette, etc odors because they too leave the same residual odor. In fact, at times, I've cut the ZorbX dosage in half to cut down on the after smell and the cigarette smell was still taken care of.But using similar products designed to remove cigarette smells found in the big box stores by reputable coatings manufacturers (Kilz/Zinsser,etc), I've found that they too have the same lingering odor as well so I guess it's a necessary evil. At least it's not simply masking the odor like other products and it does eventually go away.

Bought to remove smoke smell. Used on every wall in the house. Didn't fix the issue. Bleed out of the paint in bathroom (maybe a humidity issue?) and walls had to be scrubbed to remove zorbx dripping/running down walls.

Unbelievable performance. I was remodeling a house where the previous tenant was an animal hoarder and the dog smell would literately knock you over and make you want to puke. I decided to repaint the house and after one room I realized it wasn't making that much of a difference. My wifey found Zorbx paint additive and I completed the rest of the house. It totally removed the odor from the house. I was shocked to actually find a product that not only did what it claimed to do, but exceeded all expectations.

We bought a house with a persistent animal smell even after having pulled out the carpets, refinished the wood floors and painted the whole house. I was, frankly, pretty concerned that the smell would never go away. I hit it with a multi-pronged approach of electric air purifiers (carbon filters, the whole shebang) and putting ZORBX into new paint for the areas of the house with the worst smell. There was an *immediate* reduction in the smell once the new paint was on. The smell is now completely gone, so I'm super happy with that.I did notice that the ZORBX does have kind of a weird sickly sweet smell which lasts for a couple of weeks after you paint. If you are trying to avoid any smell from your paint, I would not say that's what you're going to get with this product. Is the sickly sweet smell better than normal awful paint smell? Yes. It's also (obviously) better than animal pee smell. It's definitely not entirely neutral though. My husband did not notice it, however, so it may just be that I have a sensitive nose.I would only put this in paint that you intend to use immediately. I noticed that one of my older cans of paint with ZORBX in it that I hung onto and used later had weird chunks of stuff in it (that the other cans I had saved did not). It also requires very thorough mixing/remixing as you are painting - it was somewhat argumentative about fully mixing into the paint.Ultimately the weird smells are gone and no one comments on it anymore when they walk in the house. I docked a point for the sweet smell and the difficulty in getting it to mix, but I'm overall happy.
