The paint was what it said it was. The important part was having the boat properly prepared for painting. I used a roller brush for the flat surfaces and a Wagner airless sprayer to get into the nooks and crannies for a professional finish. With new OEM decals and registration stickers the boat looked like it came off the showroom. The painted bottom is holding up well and not peeling.

I wanted to paint cement steps with a part epoxy paint that is semi gloss but I was concerned the steps would be slippery. Adding this fine uniform sand to the paint worked well. It is sand. Who knew it would save the day?

I have no problem with the anti-slip additive save one: It tended to pool (bunch up in the middle of the deck where I was painting) making it very tough to spread it around. You'll skin a knee if to fall on my deck. The paint I put down did not hold up minimal use. See my other review of Rustoleum Topside deck paint.

This was easy to use with paint and I applied it on the steps and 1st part of my porch as the rain would often make these areas slick and people would slip. The only thing I don't like is you can see it. I was often asked what damaged my porch! However, the safety of others is more important to me and it provides a very abrasive finish which prevents anyone from slipping on the surface. I'm going to use this on the stairs leading to my basement as well.

I am pretty impressed with how well this stuff works.I first tried to broadcast it onto the paint afterwards like some reviewers suggested, but found it too hard to get even. So my advice would be to mix it with your paint in small batches so you can stir it alot to get even grit distribution.I wanted a really rough surface so I rolled it on and that worked well for my application. Much nicer than using sand, imo. I went a bit radical and because I wan't very concerned with the appearance of my final surface (max grip was more important) and I actually did a second coat where I broadcast a little extra grit onto fresh wet paint and then rolled that in.So it wasn't as even as one would usually want, but the amount of grip is pretty amazing.I bought in from Amazon and pretty pricey for such a small amount, but if you can find it locally it is far cheaper because the free shipping is not built into the price. For me the conveniece of buying online is worth it.
