You'll get a superior finish, add quality and save time and labor with Duratec Polyester Hi-Gloss Additive. Low Porosity---when used for repairs, blending the additive with gelcoat produces a low porosity surface. Reduced orange peel---the low viscosity of the blend results in a smooth finish that is easily sanded. Improved properties---for mold surfaces, the blending of the additive with tooling gelcoat creates a higher heat distortion temperature, improved gloss retention, increased impact resistance and reduced subsurface porosity. Superior finish---when blended one-to-one with gelcoats, the additive creates an air-cure, enamel-like coating. No air-dry additive is required. When used for gelcoat repair, surfaces are restored to like-new condition. Use a Non-Wax Gelcoat with this product.

This is the best spray thinner you can use.Hard, tack-free cure.Doesn't change the gel color.Seems to keep white gels from turning yellow so soon.Yes, it's expensive. However, it is now part of my kit and I'll never go back to not using it.

Only reason for 4 stars is the price... Mix with gelcoat 50/50 to make it sprayable. Helps gelcoat flow out nice and smooth. 50/50 mix can be applied with brush or roller but will not come out as smooth as sprayed.

When working with gelcoat, you have many options for your desired finish. I have used this product on four jobs to date. Duratec has given me the perfect finish each time.

This is the only thing i've found that will work with gel coat. Expensive but does what it says it will do.

Great product, adding duratec to non wax gelcoat hardens to a more harder finish sprays out of a gun like paint and comes out glossy as clear great product worth the cost
