I own a 2016 Jayco Octane 222 Toy Hauler. In the past I've misplaced my keys and was frustrated with my Son for not locking the various trailers we've owned when we would use them. I saw the add for RV Lock and decided to buy one when I upgraded to my Jayco. From the start I was impressed with the construction and simplicity of the lock. The was a couple of quirks that were at the least annoying but ignorable. You had to input the code and press lick or unlock every time. Like I said ignorable once it becomes habit. I used it for a few months and was offered an upgrade to the new Terk lock. My god! How could a lock get any better? This new version is a vast improvement over the old one and that one is 5 stars as well. The button functionality 8s better the charging port, the press button inside lock, everything is better. Hard to improve on greatness, but this lock does. It's a bit more than my old one, but I now see the value. I will always ugrade standard locks from now on with RV Lock Terk. Great product, perfect fit, easy install (I was done in 5 minutes). Easy to program. Easy to use. Do yourself a favor, get one. You won't regret it.

This is my 3rd RV Lock.Purchased my first RV Lock around 6 years ago.My first RV Lock had the outside key lock broken by a person trying to break into the RV. The lock stopped them from gaining entry to the RV. They even tried to bend the door frame with a screw driver and was unsuccessful. My second RV Lock was to replace the lock set that the intruders had broken. This lock has worked flawlessly and has been very good.Shortly after purchasing the second RV Lock I decided to try the wireless capability add on. This worked great and eliminated our family having to carry keys since we all carried our phones. This add on has been great and continues to work with no issues. Now for my third RV Lock. I purchased this one from Amazon after the first 2 directly from RV Lock. I found that the purchase price was very fair along with great delivery. Package arrived as stated on the order and was packaged very nicely. The box was in excellent shape with no bruises or scratches. The installation went very smoothly and fit into the same spot as the V4 lock. Charging was very quick and then the configuration. Configuring the key fob's and entering a new code was very easy to do. This only took about 20 minutes to install and configure. Next up was syncing the Trek lock with the bluetooth module so we could continue to use the phones for entry. This took maybe 5 minutes. Now I have done this several times so I knew the process. Might take someone new to the add on to configure and test in about 10-15 minutes.Overall purchasing and delivery from Amazon went very smooth. The packaging, installation, charging and configuration of the Trek and add-on module was very smooth and took very little time. One thing you may want to consider when purchasing the Trek RV Lock is to purchase a long usb-c cable so that in the RV you can reach from the power plug to the internal USB-C plug. I do like the idea of an external USB-C port so those times when it sits in storage for an extended time you could still charge the lock from the outside then gain access if the battery is depleted.

This is the 3rd version of the RVLock I've had and it is the best one yet. This Trek replaced an RVLock Compact that we had on our kitchen entry door. While I liked the Compact, I had a few complaints like no 10 button keypad, more plastic parts than I wanted and unable to lock the deadbolt with the keypad. Though my previous v4 was heavier duty, it did not fit correctly in the door of our latest camper.Enter the RVLock Trek. This bad boy checks all the boxes on my wish list for a lock. It has a true 10 button keypad, the deadbolt and handle both lock with the keypad and it is heavy duty. Best of all, you can have it keyed alike to all your other RVLock products if you so choose. The days of having to choose between. the convenience of the keypad or security of locking the deadbolt with a key are over!A couple things I wasn't necessarily looking for, but were a bonus. The lock uses a rechargeable lithium battery for operation. They advertise that it provides 3-5 months on a single charge. That is long enough to get through the camping season in the midwest where I live. If the battery goes dead, never fear, it is rechargeable with a USB-C cable and it can be done from inside or outside the camper. Also, the Trek comes with their newly re-designed fobs that can be programmed to multiple locks. Finally, the door can be locked at the touch of a button on the inside or you can use the manual slider. The install was just as easy as the other RVLock models. In my opinion, a little easier, but that could just be because I have installed several over the past couple years. One thing for sure, the cable that connects the interior and exterior of the handle was way easier to position without crimping it while doing the install. I also like the addition of the heavier duty screws to hold the handle together. All in all, it took me about 20 minutes to remove the old Compact lock and install and program the Trek.If you are in the market for a keypad lock, do not hesitate to purchase the RVLock Trek. To those that say it is pricey, you are correct. It is not an inexpensive lock. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I do my research before purchases, especially when the price is large. I have not found a better lock than the Trek.Pros:-Handle/deadbolt can be locked with code-Latch & deadbolt are controlled with 1 key-10 individual buttons for locks-All metal construction-Covers entire hole opening in the door (v4 did not for my RV)-Lithium Ion, rechargeable battery, no battery swapping-1 Button to lock (had to use code with compact)Emergency USB-C on outside to prevent lockout-Super easy to install-Can be keyed alike to other RVLock ProductsCons (If I am being nitpicky):-Price-Latch and deadbolt are ever so slightly shorter than my RV Lock CompactI have no regrets with getting this lock. The only down side is now I want to get a second one for my bedroom entrance door.

I've got the Compact model installed on my Rpod trailer and just installed this new model. This thing is BEEFY. I mean it's easily 4x the weight of the compact model. I like the look of it, the function of the locks and the fact that it's rechargeable from the inside and outside. Fits my Rpod just fine. We'll see how it holds up. I'll return with a review update on 6 months but so far so good. Only giving it 4 stars and not 5 because mine arrived with some scuffs and nicks from lack of adequate packaging. It should have some sort of a thin cushion around the assembly as the cardboard chaffed the finish.
