So frustrating! The instructions leave out two very important steps. 1) They don't even mention that you have to hit any random key before your code and the function you want. How in the World are you supposed to know that? So you keep thinking it won't program. SO LAME!!! 2) The first button pushed lights up the key pad which you will not notice in daylight which is when most people would be installing this thing. 3) There is no reason to hold down the lock key for 3 seconds. Of course it doesn't just fit easily, modifications had to be made to the door but that's easy enough to figure out and should be expected. The instructions are very misleading. Maybe that's why some people don't read them.

Absolutely amazing. All metal, was cake to install. Fit perfectly to replace the stock lock on my 23 Grand Design. A few screws and it’s done. The key fob remote is my favorite feature. You can lock it like a car remote. Has 2 fobs and some manual keys too in case the battery dies. Also has a number keypad.One of the best things you can get for your camper. Lock it up!

This is much more robust that the factory door lock on our travel trailer. The lock functions and operates as you would expect. It's doubtful that we will use the fobs, but the keyless entry feature of the keypad is absolutely handy. The interior pull handle is easy to grasp, and that's also an upgrade over what we had previously.From a security aspect, this is a big upgrade. You'd be surprised how few keys actually existed for the standard locks. Quite honestly, this lock is sturdier than the camper door itself.The manual is sufficient to guide you through installation if you're at all handy.

Ordered this to increase the security on my travel trailer. I recently had a friend get his travel trailer stolen and broken into, because there are only like six different types of trailer keys. Now this lock will not stop someone from stealing your trailer as that would require a tongue lock, wheel lock, and probably chains. However, this lock will assist in preventing access to the inside of the trailer. This lock took almost no time to install and comes with a plethora of entry options. This lock includes fobs, keys, and pin codes to gain access. This lock is also very heavy and should be able to deter and delay brute force attacks from unauthorized individuals. This lock came with everything I needed to install and fit perfectly in my trailer door.Overall, a great security upgrade and deterrent.

Check your fitment first! Don’t be like me and order a lock that fits the motorhome you traded in for the fifth wheel you now have…. Yup, I did that. I had it in my mind what it looked like but nope, that was my first RV not my current.So what should have been a five minute installation took a bit longer. (Too stubborn to send it back)The hardest part should have been holding the outside part in place while connecting the wires from the inside part. My difficulty was drilling the holes in the steel plate I used to cover the hole left over under the lock after installation. This hole was my fault in not getting the correct lock. I used one of my old license plates from my first RV on the outside. Before I put the last bolt through I filled the inside of the gap with some of that spray foam stuff.The lock is great. Install should be easy, if I had to do again I’d hold the outside part with some duck tape or get assistance while connecting the wires, other than that it’s just two screws for the plate and four screws for the lock.The instructions were a little off. The battery over on the one I got only had one screw, so took me a minute as the instructions will have you looking for two.The programming instructions were also off a little bit. Just be sure and hit the function you want, then your code, then function you want again. Instructions leave one of those function presses out. So I kept thinking it wouldn’t program. But it was, just instructions left out a button press. The beep is annoying, but thankfully you can turn it off as well as down. Beebs help when programming, but I turned them off after that.It is easy to use after a small learning curve. Have to hold button a few seconds to lock, but to unlock just press and let go. Also I wait a second or two after closing the door before pressing and holding the inside lock button.We live the key fob!!!! What a great feature.The lock is solid and well made. Looks cool as well.Comes with two keys, two key fobs with additional “hidden” keys inside them. And you can also lock or unlock using the keypad.Only small disappointment is that the only way to lock the handle is outside using a key. But that’s minor Tony’s anyway.I’d recommend!

The instructions are very poor. Instructions have step-by-step on how to remove the simple lock that came with RV, but few pictures for installation of their product. Said to remove the two screws to battery pack. No picture on where this is located. I found three silver screws, which I removed, but not battery pack. After searching I found one small black screw, which opens battery pack. One screw, not two. No clear pictures of which half of door handle goes on first, and instructions don’t match names in the pictures that exist. Figured it out. But after struggling for over 1/2 hours, I took it back off and realized that it will take two people to install. I have to wait until someone can help me. Had to reinstall old lock, which was easy. I hope this thing works if I ever get it installed.

Like the pictures, the handle for the metal stick is plastic that may fail in turning if dead locker gets stuck. I was locked inside. Neither the handle nor the remote worked. Really sucks!
