I'm very happy with this product. I love the FOB option as well and it feels so much better than I anticipated. I was hesitant because sometimes you get tricked into buy something that looks good on image but horrible when you receive it, especially when it comes to tech like this but this is solid as metal and very nice fitting. And I don't have to worry about always having to carry keys when we do a quick trip near the RV sites. It is a bit heavy for its size so it can be the only downside since you want to keep the RV as light as possible but honestly it's a good trade, you want a solid device that's hard to break through to protect your assets. I would definitely buy and when I change RVs this will be my first upgrade purchase! Also, it functions well, no problems, you just need to make a good installment to have it work properly! Hire a professional or handyman if you need to. But if you have some common sense and some experience changing regular home door handles, this should be easy, just be sure to seal it with RV sealant as well.Happy Camping!!!!

What I like about it is the keypad buttons. I like the click style buttons that let me know I am entering what I choose. There are a number of small things that make it a challenge for me, but I still think this is a great door lock.Installation was close to easy. More than likely will have to modify the latch plate part of the door. Or will need to push in when locking the door. This defeats the point of keyless entry because I've had to verify that I am indeed locked rather than just using the remote and going on my way; I've made the mistake of leaving and not locking my door once.I am not quite sure what the top keyhole is for. It does not the door. The bottom one (deadbolt) that has the silicone cover one it seems to be what locks the door. From the inside, I've found that I need to rely on using the lock slider to ensure it is in fact secured. Using the lock button will make a noise that lets me think it locks but does not actually secure the latch. The remotes are great. I like most that the key is built into the remote. At least if I cannot get the remote part to work great I still have a physical key with me without having to carry a separate one. And the amount of spare keys is great also.Despite my small complaints, I still like this door lock. I've made my peace with the stuff I've listed and have gotten used to just checking again to ensure its secured. It feels solid and durable. I believe it will last a long time.

Install was simple and fit right in to the factory hole. The issues I have are the outside handle doesn't actually lock in place kas seen in other reviews), you have to hit the numbers slow and wait for the beep to register, I have to push on the door when outside to get it to lock (rendering the fob useless) but inside I don't have that problem. Otherwise it's functional and seems to be built sturdy. *Update to 1 star* my door has now popped open multiple times by itself. When is windy, the slight rocking make's the "deadbolt" slide in rendering the lock useless and the door popping open. Not really something that you want to be woken up to in the middle of the night when it's 5 degrees out.

I saw an electronic lock similar to this at an aviation festival last year on one of my neighbor's RVs. It sure made it a lot easier for them not having to carry the keys around in the heat and crowds. I decided to look for one when I got back and saw this on amazon. I ordered it and was impressed with the heavy duty build of the latch and lock assembly. It is a lot heavier than the one I removed from the rv. It not only has a keypad entry, but comes with two remotes (and built-in keys) and two full size keys. The keys are something I am not thrilled with as they are of a type I will have trouble sourcing locally if I lose one. They do work as they should though and there are four of them. As others have noted, installation on your RV is going to vary a little from unit to unit. Mine was no exception. CHECK ALL your dimensions before you start to make sure this is a good fit for your door. A lot of lock assemblies use the same footprint, but yours may be an exception and it is better to know and not start than to find out after your door is disassembled. Minor adjustment was required in the latch plate, but this is normal in lock changes. I didn't have any interference in the outside folding step handle or screen door opening, but you could as placement on these vary from rig to rig. You might want to check for this before you start. Operation with the keypad, keys, and remotes have been good so far. Programming is straight forward, just don't lose the instruction sheet. Be sure that the lock bar does not scrap the latch plate and is free to move in or out. If there is binding, the powered retraction and extension may not work right. Can't wait to try it out on the next trip when summer returns. Hopefully it will stand up to weather exposure as well as the OEM lock I removed.
