It does fit my Rove 2k PRO. The filter prevented the glare from other vehicles during the day. It’s fair at night as it did reduced the glare but it won’t see letters or numbers on signs or billboard. The camera was on 4k setup.

I have a Rove 4K camera, front and rear. Windows of approaching cars, especially from the rear, are obstructed with glare from the sky. Properly oriented, the CPL filter removes nearly all of this glare, making the driver identifiable. Prior to this purchase, I improvised with polarizing film glued to the rear window. The screw-in CPL made this unnecessary. Only the latest Rove cameras have a filter ring on the lens. The CPL won't fit on older versions.

The box clearly states that itis compatible with the Rove R2-4K. I just purchased the R2-4K but the CPL did not fit. I contacted Rove and they sent me a link to a You Tube video saying if the camera does not have threads to use tape. I inquired as to why the package states that it is compatible with the R2-4K but Roave is suggesting to use tape to hold it on. Rove advised that it depends on the batch of the camera as to if the filter fits. I just purchased the camera so I guess it was a old batch? Nowhere on the filter or the Amazon add does it state this. I attempted to return the item but it was not allowing me to return it because it was opened so I had to contact customer service to return this.

This if setup properly, will eliminate all glare on your windshield. I actually think it should be included in the box.To setup, install it, and rotate the filter while watching the live view till the reflections disappear.

While the dashcam delivers excellent video quality, adding the lens filter significantly improves imaging by reducing flares and reflections. As a bonus, it even minimizes dashboard reflections. While not essential, the filter is worth the investment, especially if capturing details like license plates is a priority.The dashcam stands out for its simple setup and intuitive operation. I also enjoy reviewing trip footage, which is clear and well-organized.This dashcam is reliable and performs superbly, offering peace of mind and great value for the price. Highly recommended—with the lens!

I installed into both of my vehicles after a friend of mine was in a minor accident involving a small FedEx truck travelling the same direction in a different lane. The other driver then turned into an entrance across my friend's lane of travel. Everyone was ok, and the driver was cooperative, but what if it and he were not? Who could offer testimony? Where is the proof? Concerning fault, sometimes accidents can be explained in either direction, and can only come down to which driver or insurance adjuster screams foul the loudest. Do you want to trust that the other person will do the right thing?I used this with the Rove R2 Dual. Both were easy to install. The connector of the adapter is USB-C, so (unofficially) any unit with that connector and 5VDC/2A requirement should do. This piece comes with all the different sized fuse connectors for recording in the parked mode of the dashcam. Also, a voltage tester is provided. The directions are easy to follow and supportive with Do's and Don'ts if you are not electrically savvy. Can be used with 12VDC and 24VDC electrical systems.

The camera quality without it is still good, but this helps a ton with eliminating flares and reflections. I keep a sleepy pikachu on my dash which showed up quite a bit, but the lens mostly got rid of that as shown in my attached pictures. So not super necessary, but worth the money imo. I got it to have the best chance at capturing plate #s in case something ever happens
