A circular polarizer has the same effect as a polarizer and is used on cameras with beam-splitting metering systems commonly found on autofocus SLRs.

Amazing polarizing filter. Fits perfectly on my Sigma 24-70mm lens and cuts through the glare on windows without discoloration. Very pleased with this product.

Love the quality of Tiffen’s lenses. It’s worth the price, which is actually pretty reasonable.

I bought two brands, and they both vignetted...First time using a CPL, and I think this is going to be a game changer for me. I have been doing real estate for 10+ years, and I try to keep costs, and editing time to a minimum but was finding my images to have a grey blue wash, and lacked the color punch I needed. In comes this very affordable solution. For me, the quality is good, but I am not a very technical photographer, and I haven't played with more expensive filters. I can see why taking it off would be hard, but they do make a tool for unscrewing filters off lens, need be. I just used the corner of my nail as leverage. They also make magnetic filters, but I decided to keep things simple for starters.CONS: Vignetting is a real issue. I am using a 15-35 on my R5, and I got super dark corners as you can see. I decided that will return the 82mm, get the 95mm with a step up ring, let's see if that works better. That would be my advice if you don't want to take the extra time to frame wider for a post-crop. This is an extra step I don't want to remember when working under beaming noon sun.

Tiffen is an AMAZING company. I've never had a bad experience getting any of their products and this one was no different. Not on perfect for photography, but vastly increased the quality of my video work. Helps to even out brighter parts of skin and is VERY flattering for models and actors. Defintely a must have for all of my lenses.

So here's the thing: I'd buy it again, but only because I haven't found another filter company that I trust as much to not mess up the quality of the image. That being said, the filter cracked within 4 or so months without any direct physical impact. It was fine one day, and then the next I take it out to shoot and it's cracked. I'm careful with my gear and I know it didn't get slammed around or anything. It was attached to my lens at all times.I reached out to Tiffen for a replacement but they said cracks are not covered by warranty. Great. I'm buying a replacement for now but will be doing a lot of research to see if I can find a better filter company for the future.YMMV

After ND filters, the second most needed filter is a polarizing filter. The help reduce glare in glass, metal, water and foliage, and they make skies a deeper blue. You don't know what you're missing until you try one. Image quality of the Tiffen filters are pretty good; not necessarily the best, but far better than budget filters.

Tiffen makes good products - I was very happy with my polarizing filter, good glass and well machined. Met or exceeded my expectations

I did some research on filters and I found Tiffens seemed to have the best bang for its buck. Its a solid filter and performs really well but the polarizer can be a bit on the annoying side.it does suffer from that weird overlay due to the polarizers meeting.Either way it does what it needs to without being overly priced.Great item.
