I wanted a little extra bass punch from my bookshelf stereo system, and decided to try this out. It’s ideal for my needs and the environment I live in. The construction appears solid, and the adjustments for basic things like volume and frequency cutoff are handy.I also want to compliment the customer service too. I had so questions before and after the purchase, and they were very courteous and helpful. All in all I think it’s a great product for a very affordable price.

This subwoofer is fantastic for deep bass and it is very easy to hook up to my Sony receiver.

It does not have rca input for one cable like all the amps with subwoofer output. You have to buy a splitter and feed one channel into a right and left side. Why they got right and left side for a subwoofer is beyond me but maybe in China that’s how they use it. But I have a Chinese amp and it only had one subwoofer rca output like all other amps. You can wire separate wires for input and output but then you have a mess of speaker cables that doesn’t look good. I have 2 other subwoofers and both have only one cable rca input. Maybe the new amps have left and right subwoofer outputs. So the subwoofer should still have one cable to support most sub out of most amp instead of telling you to buy a splitter to feed one channel into 2.

I received Klipsch R40PMs for Christmas, and while they sound great, they were definitely missing the low end. Since they’re smaller speakers, I didn’t want a big sub, and since they were pricey, I didn’t want to spend a lot. I quickly found this sub and thought it would be perfect. After receiving this Rockville, I hooked it up right away, and was somewhat impressed. After moving it to the corner of the room, I can’t believe how much sound it puts out, and how deep it will hit. For comparison, I have the Klipsch RP 600Ms with a Klipsch R120SW in my living room, and this little sub will give my 12” Klipsch a run for its money. I am playing my smaller system at lower volumes, but it sounds absolutely amazing. The Rockville sounds like it’s delivering lower frequencies than the Klipsch, albeit at lower volumes, which is all I needed. I highly recommend this sub if you’re looking to fill out a smaller bookshelf system. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I have the black 6.5" 200W. Very impressed with the frequency response. Actually, surprised to see the 20Hz response in general, and it is most definitely present. It makes my powered Polk 10" sub for my home theater a little envious that way. I haven't blasted it or anything, but for all my general listening volume so far, it's hitting all the notes that would go totally unnoticed at the 30-40Hz range. Additionally, you should be able to put anywhere you have the space and hear it as you'd expect/want. The bass null is impressive (or lack thereof?). I have it 6ft in front of me, on the floor facing me with its back to the wall. I'm sitting in a regular height desk chair and love how much bass I am getting. Never heard of this brand am very happy I found them. I think the value is there without a doubt. I don't know if it would really handle being worked in a home theater setup, but for reasonable listening volumes for computer/games/music, totally worth getting away from desktop speaker combos. Get a baby 2.1 amp and switch to home speakers. I'm annoyed I didn't think of doing this years ago!

I couldn't imagine needing a bigger subwoofer for our living room! This one is perfect. Also, note that if you're an audio noob (as I am) 6'5" is of course the speaker diameter, not the actual size of the square enclosure, which is a good bit bigger. This sounds great, and we leave it at about 20-30% volume most times, so as not to wake the kids. However, I did queue up Dune 2 just for kicks and crank the volume up to about 90% and I felt like I was on the sandworm with Paul. I have this paired with a Sony STRDH-590 and it does a great job in getting the signal to the speaker. I haven't messed much with the crossover dial or anything but I've been happy with how it's been performing!

Considering the quality, power, size, controls and flexibility this is a pretty good unit for the price. Wont handle an auditorium but works well for the living room
