If you need a quick and permanent repair this is the way to go. I installed these fittings in minutes. It took me longer to remove the hose compared to installing these fittings. Great result. It beats having to have a hose made for a very costly amount. With this repair kit there was no down time.

I like how much easier these are to put together than some I've used, although, it's still kind of a pain to do. Unfortunately, these are not the right size NPT thread for a standard glad-hand, it takes a 1/2" NPT, not 3/8", so make sure you get the right one when you order. I have no idea exactly what this 3/8"-3/8" size is even for. Luckily, the plastic stem inside these comes out easily and I was able to swap out the broken stem and re-use the 1/2" NPT fitting that was already on the glad-hand. These aren't terribly durable if you turn too sharply, especially in low temps, so maybe go with a brass fitting with a hose clamp for a more permanent solution. These'll get you going in a pinch, though.

The first thing to say is I’m a 37 year veteran mechanic and a driver and owner operator of 34 years. It would be nice to have at least an illustration of how these are assembled. I had a good idea but was just wanting confirmation to see if it was correct. And the the other thing is at least the trailer side leaks. Not sure about service side yet. They just don’t feel tight enough when they go together.
