Picked this up with a very specific project in mind. Shipped fast, and appreciate that it comes with a lot of mandrels for different size applications, a nice hard carrying case, and a lot of rivnuts in the case already.Things to know: Its big. If you are working in tight spaces, this is probably not for you.Put oil on it before you start. Its shipped bone dry, and you will have a much easier time if you get things lubed up first.It is good for occasional use, but it just doesnt feel like its going to last me years and years. And thats OK for the price point. If you use it enough to break it, you should probably buy a more durable/professional one.BIG CON: There is NO chart or guide or anything like that with this kit that says what size hole and what thickness material you should use each of the rivnuts on. That would be really handy to have so you know how much wiggle room is OK and how much is too much.I would suggest getting a good step bit to go along with this kit so you can have some nice holes that are the exact size you are looking for.

I needed to set 3/8" rivet nuts and I bought a drill just the right size to drill the holes. I screw the rivet nut onto the tool all the way and press the arms to set it, and the threads strip out of the rivet nut. A picture is included which shows the rivet nut only partially crimped. Those things that look like eyebrow hairs are actually the metal threads that were torn out of the inside of the rivet nut by the tool. I thought that may have just been a poorly made rivet nut and tried again and the same thing happened. The set included, I think, ten 3/8" rivet nuts and everyone of them failed.I attached the 1/2" mandrel (shown in picture) and even after screwing the rivet nut on all the way with the tool open all the way, the mandrel did not extend beyond the threads of the rivet nut. I thought this was also going to fail where not all the treads were being used, but to my surprise it worked and crimped down correctly. I also wasted a 1/4" and 5/16" size to see if they would work and they did. I have not tried any of the other sizes. Very frustrating that 100% of the exact size that I needed failed, one star! Can't return because more than one month spent getting the other items for my project.

This IMQUALI Rivnut tool is an absolute bargain. I've always wanted one as I've been a Technician for 25 years after 2 year tech school at UTI "I'm 45 years old" and this tool fit with quality and price. I no it won't get used consistently everyday but there have been times over the year where this would have made life easy. I've done all the Big name Brand tools from tool trucks, and well I do like them they are not even close to worth the price. Any new Techs out there or current techs don't keep up with your buddies at work and waste money when Amazon and a few Hardware stores now carry quality products like,even for the everyday mechanic. You won't be disappointed in this Rivnut tool if your in the market for one, and if you find yourself in need of one you'll be happy you have this one on hand!

I have a hand pop rivet style rivet nut that you squeeze with on hand and it was so hard to squeeze. I had to press down on it with all my wieght or use a pair of chanel locks to squeeze it. I was making 20 bracket needeing 3 rivet nuts each and there was no way I was going to do it with my pop rivet tool. So I ordered this and it is so easy to use. Its easy to change the size and well as remove the tool after puting on the rivet nut. It has paid for itselt the first time I used it. well made easy to use cant go wrong.

I have and older body style pickup that didn't have a grab handle to assist passenger entry and exit. I had hoped I could secure the riv-nut without purchasing the tool. Unfortunately I was wrong. The tool secured the riv-nut quickly and easily and allowed the secure install of the grab handle.

Bought this set to install an outlet box on an outdoor lamp post. Followed the directions and was able to easily install two rivets on the post, thus enabling me to screw the box to it. Resulted in a solid connection between post and box. No problems, easy peasy. Lots of future projects I will be using this for.
