I installed this on my 2017 Ram 3500 years ago and it took my 68rfe trans temp from 170’s and 180’s down to 120’ and 130’s. Life of these transmissions is keeping them cooler, especially in the heat of summer. This bypass also will never fail because there is no thermostat in it like there is in the factory one.

This bypass worked great for me. The only negative is the o-rings that are provided are hard to install. Note they go on the forward side flex lines, not the hard lines. It would be helpful if Revmax would include replacement o-rings for the hard lines. I re-used mine and got luck with no leaks. Combined with a new oversize oil pan, this lowered my temps from 195F to 140F.

Highly recommend! Our truck transmission temp started running 230°+ after 30 mins of driving with no load. So we started researching and bought the above product. Install was fairly easy. Instructions suck though. We did need to watch a video for the connection points. Turns out you can remove the threaded ends on your lines to utilize the quick connectors on the RevMax. Once we figured that out it was a piece of cake.This morning (next day) we are hauling our 30 ft camper and the temp is staying low! Highly recommend!

Stock valves are known to go bad and cost you a transmission. Good insurance for the price. Pair with a better transmission pan, and Temps are about 20 degrees less than before. I drained pan, did both filters and drained the lines to the cooler aswell. Took 16.5 quarts to fill back up.

Parts similar to this always come with the (internal) o-rings installed. However, these are not, so you have to do it yourself. It is quite a task to set these o-rings in place. Hence, it doesn’t come installed? And, to make matters worse, it leaked. I used the provided o-rings, then I tried 2 other sets to no avail. It was either too tight or too lose & leaked. Also, the kit comes with 4 o-rings, none of which fit the compression fitting side. Note to the seller; you should have these o-rings preinstalled to prevent user error & returns. I am returning and trying another brand. Hopefully it’s not from the same overseas supplier.

Install took about 1/2 hour in my driveway under the truck (no lift needed). Took longer to get the "O" rings in the little grooves than to do the actual install. Replaced 3.5 quarts of trans fluid. Warmest I have seen the trans since install of the revmax bypass has been 145º @ 87º ambient. would normally run 168 - 170 without the bypass. Money well spent.
