This lowered the transmission temps on my 2014 Duramax by 20deg and that's without the fan on. I was looking for a way to fully control the cooling rate of my Allison 6 speed and this did it. The mounting tabs are very robust. They are not simply a tab welded to the tanks they are an extruded part that captures the shape of the tanks and is welded on two edges. This is a nice touch considering the life this will live under the truck. The 10AN fitting seemed like overkill at first but once the rest of the fittings and hoses were purchased it was just what the doctor ordered. The caps that come on the cooler are not simply dust caps. They actually hold air to indicate that the unit was vacuum vested. When i opened the cover to assemble it there was a noticeable sound of rushing air into the cooler. Your results may vary but it was another nice touch to know that the thing is AIR tight. I WILL by one of these again when ever i need one.

Well made, I used it on my 18 speed eaton transmission and it keeps the Temps at 170 or below pulling 80,000# plus. I don't even have the fan hooked up.

So this kit is the cooler and fan only. I knew that going into it Andy I’m SO glad that I bought it. This allows me to build my own mounting bracket, run my own wires/fuses/switch, and tie it into my tranny lines however I want. I took this cooler to a local “tubes and hoses” store that builds hydraulic lines. The fitting on this cooler is a male -10 JIC (called a “dash 10”). The shop made me a crimped fitting with 12 feet of 1/2” black hose (300psi) and a 1/2” barb fitting on the transmission side. I now have way better wiring, mounting and higher quality lines than if I had purchased the kit version of this product for $450. Save your money and get this cooler and get your own install supplies to get a better set up for a cheaper price!The cooler is awesome! Big, quality mounts and wiring
