I was planning to use this connected to a handheld sprayer that I connect and disconnect when needed but I found that the monitor is better suited for a permanent to semipermanent install based on its features.I would recommend using lithium batteries if you plan on leaving the monitor outdoors. Accessing the battery compartment the first time was a bit tight because there is a rubber gasket protecting the opening but it gets easier over time. Two AAA batteries are required, the battery cavity is a bit deep (see picture), no problems adding batteries but you may need something to pry them out when they die.The screen is backlit and the display will change its orientation automatically based on which way the monitor is installed. The button on the monitor allows you to cycle through the different measurements. However, for easier control you can download the app, here the settings can be changed more easily and water usage history can be tracked. The app is easy to use but requires you to create an account to safeguard your usage data which I am not too fond of, yet another account.Overall a great set of features for a water monitor especially if it’s installed permanently or semipermanently.

This flow meter is very well built as I would expect from Restmo. The meter installs simply by screwing it in between the water source and hose. The back cover simply pulls off to change to two AA batteries There is an O-ring that seals the battery coverDisplay is nice and give all the information. The app works well alsoI recommend thisB

I'm impressed with the build quality and robustness of this new smart water flow meter. I replaced an older, non-smart model from the same manufacturer on my pressure washer setup. My goal is to monitor water usage and track the lifespan of my DI filter media.This smart unit is excellent because it logs times and usage patterns in an app. This data will be invaluable for determining when to replace my DI media. It's important to note that it requires AAA batteries, which are not included. I had some issues with rechargeable batteries, so I recommend using alkaline batteries as the manufacturer suggests.I anticipate this meter will be particularly useful this summer for monitoring my lawn watering and overall water usage.

This Bluetooth connected meter is convenient, especially if you are watering something when distant from the unit. For example, you can watch on your phone how much water you are putting on a plant without running back to the faucet.Usually, when outside I can get about 25 yards from the faucet (sometimes up to 35) and can read what is on the meter; inside I can read it but the distance is more limited. Nevertheless, I can read my outside faucet from the garage and some rooms in the house, which is convenient.I have used the RESTMO meters for about 3 years now, and they are accurate and easy to operate. I leave them connected throughout the warm weather, and store them through the winter.Good product and good company! Recommended.

I love this RESTMO smart water flow meter!You just pop in a couple of AAA batteries (not supplied) and you are off to the races. It takes literally 30 seconds to start using this once you take it out of the box. I was DELIGHTED to see that RESTMO uses the Smart Life app which I've been using for years - so adding this smart meter was as simple as clicking on the little blue "+" symbol up in the top right corner of the app and it auto-discovered and configured everything. From there, you can select units, turn the backlight off and on and adjust all of the other settings, too.Build quality is excellent. It's all plastic but it doesn't feel like cheap plastic, if you know what I mean. The hose fittings are heavy duty brass and feel indestructible. The display is a grey LCD panel with a white backlight and the button is silicone and provides a nice tactile click when you push it.The most important thing I could report about this water timer is how easy it is to get right to measuring. Using the button you just click through the various measuring options but honestly the app does everything (syncs time, sets units, etc.) when you first set it up.Recommended!

I usually do not review a product shortly after receiving it, but i have to share my first impression.This meter i noticed right out of the box is very well built. The screen is very easy to read and move to different settings. As for the Bluetooth, it did connect very easy thru the Smart Life app that i already use for other devices. The distance is very good but it is BT so there will be dead signal areas as that is very common with BT.The app updates just as quickly as the meter does and i especially like that it keeps an on going log. It always shows you how much water was used in different sessions. I own the non BT version of this product and it has worked great so i figured this would be just as good.One thing i REALLY like is i had questions before i bought and i was able to speak with owner here in the USA. That in itself is a huge plus.If your in the market for this type of device, it is a very well made product at a reasonable price. I do recommend this Flow Meter.

With the price of water these days, it is important to know how much water you are using. We not only have a hot tub but also 2 small ponds that periodically need to be topped up. We also need water for our gardens, lawns, and car washing, and I thought it would be nice to know exactly how much water we are using.I saw this smart water flow meter by RESTMO and I thought it would be perfect for monitoring our water use.The water meter arrived well-packaged and came with the instructions.The first thing you notice is how well this meter is made. The inlet and outlet are brass and very solid. The screen is very nice and is backlit so you can see it at night. It also orients itself automatically so you can see it from any angle.You need to install 2 AAA batteries into this meter.Once installed you install the "Smart Life" app on your phone. I already had this installed since this app is used with a lot of different devices. As soon as I opened the app it told me that I had a flow meter to install. One click of the button and it was installed.This flow meter is very easy to use. It will display the current flow, last readings consumption, daily use, and total use. You can either see the numbers on the screen or on your phone via the app.You can display the units in Litres or Gallons. It will retain data for up to 3 years.This is a very small but very powerful device. I tested the accuracy by using some large containers that I know the volume of and it was accurate to within less than 1%.I am very happy with this flow meter. It works well, is simple to use, and is very well made. I really like that you can read this from your phone.I do recommend this.I have attached some pictures and a screenshot of the app.

I'm using this flow meter to keep track of how much water my tenant is using in comparison to the overall water meter reading I have. I connected it in-line with the cold water line that runs into their unit (in the basement), and I can now get an accurate idea of what the usage is. It took me some time to make the connection because you need to add in two GHT female connectors - one of which needed to rotate, but after that, it was simply enough to screw in.The brass connectors are nice. I have a plastic connector version of this exact same meter for the outside garden hose, and am happier with this one because the brass connectors are more durable.

This thing is fantastic. I was worried about reading the LCD screen in the sunlight, but didn’t realize that everything is on an app on your phone. And to make matters even better, it’s an app I’ve already been using for years, called Smart Life.I popped two AAA batteries into it and opened the app. Before I even knew what was happening, it had paired itself with my phone. After it was paired, I touched the device to select it (I have other things controlled by that app). Instantly, I could see all the information about the device, which you can see in my pictures.I have a leak in my pool, and this will help me to figure out how much water I’m losing each day, and whether it’s a pressure side or a suction side leak. I’ll run the pool for 24 hours, see how much it needs to be full again, and then not run it at all for another 24 hours. This meter will tell the tale.While the water is running, you can see the flow rate and how much water you’ve used. It keeps track of the history and total water used by day or forever. I love it.I hope this helps.

Comes packaged well and looks nice. Requires two AAA batteries (not included) and the back needs to be removed in order to install them. Even though the arrows next to the word "press" point towards the hose end of the device, you're actually supposed to press on the sides and then pull the case apart in order to access the battery compartment. It's a little confusing at first, but not difficult to do once you figure it out.It comes with the ability to connect to your phone using an iOS or Android app, but please forgive me for not testing that functionality. I really don't like installing one-off apps on my phone if it's not absolutely necessary to run the device, especially from unfamiliar sources. I may eventually install it on one of my old phones just to test it out, but for now I can't comment on it.I did test it on my various garden hose sprayer attachments to get a general idea of which ones are the best for watering my plants as quickly as possible. The flow meter provided consistent, easy to read results. Surprisingly it wasn't the attachment I assumed, so hopefully this helps me cut down on time spent standing around in my yard, watering all of the fruit trees and raised beds. It might also be useful during watering to know when you've watered enough and are ready to move onto the next plant.All in all, it's a nice tool, though not exactly a necessity for most folks. It provides some useful info that could save you some time, money, or even develop better watering habits for your plants. If that sounds like something you're interested in, this is a solid choice. Just don't forget the batteries.
