I have an older version of a RESTMO water flow meter, these smaller versions are perfect! These are great for monitoring water usage and keeping track of how much water I'm putting into my stock ponds. It comes with the batteries to install, along with an instruction booklet in case you need it. Using these are pretty straightforward though.Great to use with doing partial water changes on a 100-gallon aquarium as it lets me know exactly how much water I've taken out so when I fill my tank back up, I know exactly how much to put back in without risking flooding my tank.

The two meters arrive in a small box that also contains two brand-new-in-the-package CR2032 batteries. I did not use the included plastic piece to remove the battery compartment but instead used a nickel. The two arrive with instructions that are in mice-type that is hard to read without a lot of lot of light and/or great eyes. I do not wear glasses, but found it difficult to read the instructions. So I opened up the multi-folded instructions, numbered the pages, and then cut it into 7 pages front and back before scanning the little pages into my primary PC. I have a full version of Acrobat, so I was able to rearrange the pages so they appeared in order. With that done, I was able to zoom in at will on any page and could see everything clearly.After hooking the device up to an outside faucet and watching it perform, I decided to perform a rather crude test to determine general accuracy. My test was with a just emptied one gallon milk jug. I set the device to "gallons" and turned the faucet on full blast. It hit the 1.0 gallon mark right as the water reached to top of the jug (and started to overflow the jug immediately). The display hit 1.1 gallons before I could turn it off. Based on my crude test, it seemed fairly accurate to me. I also ran water through it and through a hose, to test the gallons per minute rate and was pleased that it was just barely above where it should be. The display is easy to read, and once you get to a place where you can read the instructions, they are pretty straight forward. And importantly, there were no leaks at the faucet connection or the hose connection. I experienced nothing that would make me hesitant to recommend the device.
