My 3rd purchase of Smart Caregiver (SC) bed/chair pad ... I'd tried another seemingly top brand as reviews strong, yet very disappointed as alarm going off without my Mom getting up ... and doing what we're doing, requires sleep and trust in technology. I sent other brand back, and very happy sticking w SC. I realized too, this time around, that I could simply get the replacement pads rather than ordering the whole system. Dave, from SC Customer Services was wonderful ... he help sort out reordering and reprogramming concerns I'd had. While others are joining the market, with increasing age of population, Smart Caregiver is heads above the rest and I believe will remain so.

This and the chair-sized one are for an elderly person who likes to walk alone but is highly susceptible to fall if not with assistance. It does the job. Because it is wireless, the alarm can be placed away from the wanderer instead of spooking him (possibly causing a fall all by its own); and close to the caretaker(s) who can quietly and gracefully guide the person in safety.They are not cheap. They cost a bit more than what I would intuitively guess, and having to buy a new one (batteries are not replaceable) in the suggested time of one year, it stings a bit. But so do vaccines and sometimes they might also stop a bad thing from happening. Therefore: Great investment.

I. bought this product February, 2021. It says it's returnable within a year, but it won't let me click on anything to return it. The product does not last even a year. The sensors go bad and the alarm pad doesn't charm when it's supposed to.

We have had this bed alarm for about a year. The edge came apart leaving the inside exposed. This is to replace the previous Sensor Pad. This came without the alarm receiving unit, which was okay because the original still works.

This is my second purchase of this item and really does last one year when you trigger the sensor pad. Such a pice of mind for caregiving, priceless.Customer service was excellent as well. The young lady helped me pair the monitor and sensor pad in 3 minutes.

A little concerned. These pads have a one year guarantee. The pad I received already had a date that was a few months prior to when I purchased it. I called and they said it will be covered from the day I purchased it. Just hassles if something happens...have to dig up all my old emails to fight the issue, since a receipt is not sent with the product. Hope I have good luck with this one. I have had issues in the past where I did not get a full year out of it.
