I have wasted so many hundreds of dollars on silicone mixes only to throwaway because I just needed it for a prototype starter. This stuff is such a perfect solution to my needs! When you open it has a fruity orange scent which is nice but once it melts it’s a warm…orange..scent…not strong just off putting and not lovely…I’ve already saved countless hours on building the frame for the silicone because when I was actually casting with silicone I needed the frame to be very close so not to waste as much silicone as it was trash bound anyways. Now I just grab whatever and cast the mold. Also LOVE LOVE that it’s quick most of the time it’s less than an hour and I’m ready to use it.It’s a but thick and can get stringy when you pour it so you have to get down to business the minute it’s ready. Also be mindful on what your casting if it’s warm or gets hot like liquid plastic as it will melt the silicone if your item is thicker than 1/2-1” I would think soap would probably be a no go as ut takes time for the soap to cool vs liquid plastic that gets warm but cools quickly.Despite its little draw backs this stuff is really great. It really opens the possibilities up to what you can do. I’ve not casted so many molds because it wasn’t worth the cost on something I might only use once or twice.

This product is decent for making single use pour molds. Definitely would not recommend for making accessories/picky pads etc

Takes a little more than just refrigeration to make it solid. Overheating it makes it stickier. Use care withe time to microwave ( maybe even use 10% power so it has plenty of rest time between pulses of power) and time to rest. LOVE THAT IT IS REUSABLE!!

Of all the products I’ve bought in Amazon for over 12 years, this is by far one of the worst products ever.I melted it, all good, the smell is really bad though, anyways, from 3 things I needed to mold only one came out properly. I guess it works well with small and very easy items, don’t even bother making a detailed medium size (3 inches) item because it will be a mess.

I have extensive experience with mold making and I've tried a bunch of different mold-making materials, but SiliNOT! really stands out. The smell is really not that bad, which is a big plus for me since I often work in small spaces. Just read the instructions about how to melt it and you shouldn't have any problems.I've used it for a couple of different things so far. My kids and I made custom toy molds with it. We melted it in the microwave, poured it over a toy model, and let it cool in the fridge. The mold came out perfect, even had the small details and no bubbles.Another fun thing was making molds to create dice with epoxy. I wanted to make a custom set for a game night, and this made it super easy. The molds captured all the numbers and details perfectly. After pouring the epoxy, the dice turned out amazing and looked professionally made.Overall, I’m really happy with this stuff. It’s flexible, easy to use, and I can reuse it over and over. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

I bought this SiliNOT! to make my own reusable picky pad. This SiliNOT worked perfectly for what I needed. It is easy to use although I will say that even though I followed the heating directions (heated 20 sec and let sit 30 before heating again) the bottle overflowed in the microwave on the third heat cycle. It was easy enough to cleanup, which you should let it solidify first then peel it right off and put it back - way easier!I barely put a dent in this bottle making one picky pad that is about 3"x5." This stuff is not cheap for such a small project so if this is your purpose you might just buy one from someone else unless you really want to choose your beads (my opinion on this might change after I reheat this pad 30+ times). I have reheated it 4 times so far and it works great! This SilkNOT would be excellent for any kind of mold making needs, and it's awesome that it's reusable. It cures pretty quickly, and popping it in the fridge helps reduce the time. My picky pad is small and thin so it cures in less than an hour but I imagine larger molds would take more time.It does have a bit of a smell, even when cured but it doesn't bother me and doesn't stay on my hands, even after holding it for much of the day.

Takes a while to melt when it's still in the bottle, and even after microwaving it several times only the outsides would melt and I'd have to pour out around the solid middle chunk. Despite that, which is fiddly but nothing major, this is fantastic once it's out of the bottle. Sets to an excellent firmness, highly flexible but doesn't crack or split. Once you've got it in smaller amounts it re-melts quickly and easily in the microwave and resets just as quickly and easily. Highly recommend.

Works very well with smooth surfaces, I don't recommend it to make molds of anything with a rough surface, or with extremely small details. It cools slowly enough to give plenty of time for bubbles to rise to the top, I was very pleasantly surprised when cutting open the mold there were almost no bubbles at all.It is very soft and flexible, which is good for easily removing the cast object, but it will tear easily if it sticks to the object, and it is very difficult to remove from tiny crevices, so don't use it with porous or highly textured surfaces. Giving your object a smooth topcoat solves most of this issue easily. It also has an unpleasant smell, not very strong fortunately, but worth mentioning.
