Very easy to put on my 1997 TJ. Put the brackets on 1st and keep them loose. Then attack the side steps. Tighten everything down. 1st 1 took me me like 30 mins 2nd like 10

These black nerf bars was sooooo easy to install there was no drilling, cutting or modifying and they look awesome on my 2004 jeep wrangler. Only took me 45 minutes after gathering my tools together to install both bars.

The side step bars themselves are nice, but the bolts supplied with them rusted badly within two years - all six of them. Unfortunately neither the supplier nor Red Rock is willing to do anything about it. Caveat emptor.Update: this spring, just over two years after purchasing, the bars themselves are rusting. The Jeep itself is years older but not showing any signs of rust. This is after normal road use.

No problems with installing on a 2023 JL 2dr. No need to drill any holes, everything fits. The only issue was that the installation manual listed the parts and the sizes of the bolts and nuts wrong. They were not 6-1.0mm/8-1.5mm/10-1.5. They were more like 13mm and 16mm. They all fit, but I had to go back and get different wrenches. Also note that the parts have a 'D' and a 'P' stamped on them to help determine Driver side versus Passenger side (nice touch). These are not strong enough for rock crawling. They are simply steps. I also have a matching set on my pickup truck.

Easy to install. It took me about one hour for both of them. I suggest you start spraying the bolts with blaster penetrating oil for about 4 of 5 day (each day) before you try to remove your bolts. My bolts on a 30 year old jeep came out with no problem. The step bars went on easy and feel very sturdy when you use them. they look great on the jeep.
