I've had these on my daily 3/4t for 3 years and they are nice. Holds up two (large) people no problem. Easy to clean. Still look great. Easy to install with basic tools.

The first time the nerf bars arrived everything looked great. I removed my old nerf bars and began the installation. The directions aren't the best, but usable. The last part of the installation is mounting the nerf bars to the brackets. One nut in the end of each of the nerf bars had some of the weld in it and I couldn't screw in the bolt. Amazon took the return and sent me a new one. Before I started the installation I checked the nerf bars to make sure they were cleanly welded...no problems. I began the installation and discovered that one nut on each of the center support brackets was welded slightly off center over the holes. That meant that the bolt couldn't go through the hole. I contacted Amazon and they said, "Sorry, only one return per item." So I mounted the nerf bar with only one bolt in each of the center supports. This is not satisfactory so I will remove the support and try to find a shop that can grind off the nuts and re-weld them properly.Everything else about the nerf bars I like. Just problems with their welders...

The original running boards on our bought new 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 Crew Cab diesel had seen better days over the years. The clincher was the driver's side plastic insert was loose, no longer being made and I couldn't find them anyplace, even online. So, in looking at whether to just take them off and be done or replace with something new I came across these "MaxMate" brand replacements. While my wife and I seldom used the stock boards, our kids and now grandkids need to use them due to the step up of our 4 wheel drive truck so I decided to buy these new running boards. In this vintage of 4X4, the step up is nothing like the newer versions of 4X4 trucks, but it is still a tall step!It took a while to get around to replacing the stock running boards with the MaxMate boards as I'd bought them a couple of months ago, but last Labor day (2017) weekend I did the switch. While the directions and parts looked somewhat confusing these actually were very easy to figure out and install. The driver side and passenger side rails and bracketry were packaged color coded in plastic, one side all in green the other all in clear plastic. The Chrome work is very well done and the bracketry holding them to the cab are well made and all fit perfectly. The entire swap took about an hour and a half. They look great too!

These are fantastic running boards for the price. They install is in fact really easy. The directions are good, and the intention of taking actual pictures to add pictures to the words is good, BUT line drawings to ensure correct positioning would have been easier since the black and white pictures printed on paper are just a bit hard to read. Still- no issues figuring it out.In response to some reviews that they are "cheap"- I am putting these on a truck after just selling a truck with fancy aftermarket running boards from the dealership that are the same style. YES- these do have a little more flex to them. YES- these do need the middle support brace vs. some fancier ones that don't have that. But most importantly... YES- these are 1/4 the cost of the "high end ones" and unless they start to break down faster, the little bit of flex to them is well worth the cost and the VERY easy installation!
