THIS WAS MY FIRST RAYPAK POOL HEATER (MODEL 106 NAT GAS). I PREVIOUUSLY USED HAYWARD POOL HEATERS FOR YEARS WITHOUT ANY ISSUES RECIEVED THE HEATER APPROX 4-20-24 WAS SHIPPED FROM DOHENEY POOL SUPPLY 4-16-24. I INSTALLED THE HEATER ON 5-10-24 AND IT WORKED FINE UNTIL 6-16-24. THE HEATER STARTED TO MAKE A LOW HUMMING NOISE THEN QUIT. CHECKED THE MANUAL TO TROUBLE SHOOT---PUMP WAS OK,CLEANED THE GAS LINE AND GAS VALVE --PUT BACK TOGETHER AND STILL WONT TURN ON. POWER IN WAS OK. CALLLED RAYPAK---WARRANTY FOR HOMEOWNER INSTALL IN ONLY 30 DAYS WHICH I EXCEEDED DY A WEEK THERE ARE NO LISCENSED INSTALLERS CLOSE BY SO I DID IT MYSELF. I CALLED MY HVAC TECH TO CHECK IT OUT AT MY EXPENSE. I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED RAYPAK TO REPLACE THE HEATER AND GIVE ME AN RMA TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE AT THEIR EXPENSE. GOOD LUCK IN YOU CHOOSE A RAYPAL POOL HEATER

Will not reliably stay working. It was 50/50 from day one of it’d actually work when turned on. Now after about a dozen attempts it just straight up doesn’t work at all. Should of returned immediately but now I’m stuck.For $1500 really expected a lot more.

We LOVE this heater! It is a work horse... heats our pool (22ftx12ft) about 2 degrees every hour ...even with only 1 jet returning heated water. It was well worth the money. Very well constructed and durable!

This was a direat replacement of an existing Raypak heater

Raypak no longer makes the smaller Raypak 055 but this unit is a great replacement. It’s 105K BTU’s vs 55K BTU for the older unit. The water inlet and outlet are reversed from the older unit and the venting is 6” vs 4” but it’s worth the work to install it. I am very pleased with the performance of this new heater.

Better that the first one we had and that one lasted 6 years for our now enclosed above ground pool. Hubby built a heater house completely with side vents and chimney vent pipe. Don’t think it would have lasted as long otherwise.
