This is nice to have especially when needing to heat water up. It does heat very fast and seems to be a quality product, when following the instructions. It has a regulator attached as well for adjustment which is a nice plus. I would highly recommend!

I'm setting up an aquaponics system in a/the hoophouse, greenhouse plans that's in the works; this heater will be ideal for keeping the pool warm enough for the fish during the winter months. Smaller and lighter weight than I expected, which is cool - easier to secure in a smaller space so the swimming things cannot get into it.

Firstly; this heater set is a step above the rest because of its built in timer function. SO many times I end up distracted for just a minute or two and end up about boiling my water instead of warming it with my old heater. Now I can heat a shower or tub with precision and be sure not to burn the place down in case of anything unforeseen.Time test: 4.75-5 gallons well water in plastic bucket at roughly 60-65 degree ambient air temp.63* start temp .. 25 min heating… 114* at finish!66* start temp .. 15 min heating … 109* at finish. As you can see this little powerhouse will warm up your stuff in a jiffy. The timer function works perfectly and has nice substantial buttons for temp and time adjustment making accidental adjustments almost impossible and has a nice big bright led display. The finish alarm is loud but not obnoxious and sounds for a good 20-30 seconds, which I love. No worrying about missing that one little beep or beep beep because you were coughing or walked away for 2 seconds, or phone rang over it. This piece is well thought out and beautifully executed.

It does heat water as described and, of course, the larger the volume of water the longer it takes to heat up. It is very inexpensive and some corners were cut. It does not have on/off button. When you plug it in it is on and to turn it off you unplug it. It has timer control that is fairly simple to use. A digital probe thermometer is included and it is as simple as it gets. Nothing on it can be adjusted. When you remove the plastic tape so that the batteries are in contact, thermometer is on and there is no turning it off. It will be on until the batteries are drained. It used two small button batteries. Thermometer shows temperature only in Fahrenheit and not Celsius even though the box shows both There is no way to switch from one to another. In summary, the simplest possible water heater and thermometer.

It's important to remember to always submerge the heater in water before plugging it up. After doing so set the duration for heating and wait. Do not use out of water and do not place hands in water while plugged in. This heats water really fast and the water gets really hot. (So be careful). Depending on the amount of water being heated it doesn't take long at all. You're supposed to hear a beep once the water has reached its designated time framed, but the water has always reached the desired temperature before time. Directions are straightforward and simple to understand and follow. Not for use outside of water. The heater will definitely burn up if not submerged in water. Had one to burn up because the water went out and I was unaware. Do not use in metal.

I have an outside sink that I use in my grilling and cooking. It is cold water only, so I use an immersion heater to warm up the water for washing my BBQ stuff. The old heater wore out and I got this one to replace it. First of all the timer is absolutely handy. I had to use a separate timer on the old one and it was an awkward fit from the outlet. This unit's built in timer really fits the bill. It is easy to use. There is a separate digital thermometer...I don't use it much becaus I just want the water hot a bit. This is a nice heater.

This immersion heater works incredibly fast and is easy to use. I’ve used it for warming up small pools and large buckets, and the digital thermometer is very helpful for keeping an eye on the temperature. Definitely a great tool to have on hand.

Warns against touching the water while it’s plugged in. It also warned against plugging in without it being in the water. Seems it would be at risk of electrocution to touch the water with the heater present. Does heat water adequately though it does take some time. I find that this is much better to use to maintain heat on water that you fill the tub already heated with. I take care not to let it touch the sides or bottom. I actually have a little contraption that the cord drapes over to keep us suspended in the center of the hot tub so that I don’t risk damaging the liner. But achieves what I hope which is a cheap way to speed my heating and maintain the heat I achieve.
