The mega 2560 had a burned chip, and the ramps has sticky stuff on the bottom

The Arduino MEGA2560 detects as an Arduino UNO, which means you can't load code onto it properly. I haven't tested anything else on the Arduino yet because of this. I might be able to flash the bootloader but I shouldn't have to on a new product. If I can't this will be a return.Update: the USB to serial chip on this is the chinese CH341, not the american FTDI. It's not necessary to reflash the bootloader, once you have the CH341 serial driver installed on your computer it detects correctly and works properly. I'm leaving it at three stars since it cost me a day and wasn't stated anywhere on the page or in the documentation. The RAMPS board has some interferences between the power pins on the underside of the board and the barrel jack on the MEGA, preventing it from being pushed in all the way. I can cut the excess off the pins but I shouldn't have to.The back of the MEGA was sticky, indicating they didn't clean off the flux residue. It's easy to remove with rubbing alcohol but I shouldn't have to on a new product.

Great product, seller is excellent, had a small issue after the return period as it took me a while to get to this project for my 3D printer, but seller took care of it right away.Would highly recommend

This product arrived in a bubble pack shipping envelope, then double plastic bagged in side that.None of the boards had any protection except being enclosed in an anti-static sealed envelope. The RAMPS 1.4 Board had a foam sandwich on its underside to protect the long pins, but the foam did not extend to the long pins on the end of the board... These pins were bent upon arrival so I used the Mega header to straighten them out.I'll have to do some research on this setup because their are NO DIRECTIONS - not even a link to a URL to help guide me to test and configure the product.Step 1: find out where/why to place jumpers.Step 2: find out if I need to get any hardware specific drivers or libraries.Anyhow, I tested the hardware with Blink and both main boards work, but will need to return to complete this review.
