I was searching far and wide for some solution to the raccoons invading my pond in the wee hours. I have a couple of motion activated sprinklers to scare them off but don't like leaving them on during the day for people and pets walking by. I'd invariably forget to turn on the valve in the evening, only to discover the mayhem in the morning. This Rainpoint timer has been the perfect solution. The timer has three programs, each up to 3 hours, 59 minutes. The instructions are good so it was pretty straightforward to program and enable. I set up three back to back programs to turn on the hose to the motion sprinklers at 10pm and turns off at 6am.The system has been working a couple weeks now with no more trash panda mayhem. Now I just need to remember to check the batteries on occasion...

I bought this as we also have a remote property that was on water restrictions over the summer. This unit allows you to have up to 3 different start/stop times per day, which worked perfectly. Flow was restricted a little, but it saved me having to drive in 4 times each day to turn the water on and off.

I have vegetable planters on my back deck, and this timer has proved to be a great way to water them over the summer on a schedule. The batteries have lasted for months and are still good, and the timer itself was easy to install. Programming it was a breeze, and it is easy to intervene on the schedule with the rain delay function. I kind of which the output thread wasn't plastic, but I haven't had any issues yet. Overall, it's great.

At first, I thought this product didn’t work at all after I had installed it, but then I read the instructions a little bit more carefully and noticed that you have to use the manual watering feature first to test the valve. Make sure you follow the instructions and if you threw them away like me, you can find instructions on YouTube. This is a cheap product that works really well and is easy to figure out once you get the hang of it. This is great for if you’re going on vacation or if you’re worried about a time sprinkler and you have a little bit of a leak and you just want some thing to open up the valve for a short time.

I've ordered this timer and wasn't really working as expected. Without requesting, the vendor followed up asking how satisfied I was and when they learned it wasn't 100% up to my expectation, they have sent me an upgraded model which works like dream! The pressure doesn't drop, very easy to use and seals very well at any point. I don't believe the original model was bad, it might be just a faulty product. Either way, you can be sure that there is an amazi go team standing behind the item you purchase. If you are not 100% satisfied, they will make sure to get you what you were looking for.

First, let me write that this isn't my first Rainpoint product - actually my fourth. I have been very impressed with this company. They make it easy to get support and to give feedback - and they read it! And they give the impression that they actually care about what their customers think about their products. Bravo Rainpoint! The Digital Multi-programming Water Timer arrived one day late which was a Amazon issue and not Rainpoint. This model (ITV517P) is a bit beefier out of the box. Solid - not cheap (with that written, it is plastic). If you follow the instructions, it's pretty easy to set up. Just don't pitch the Users Manual because the process isn't very intuitive. However, once set up, it works as advertised. Set it and forget it. Good value for the price. Initial impression is very good. Will update as things progress.

I order the Rainpoint water timer for my irrigation garden set up. It is a durable digital controlled unit that has a real brass 360° rotatable inlet metal thread with a built-in metal filter and washer. The 3-mode auto, manual and rain-delay can be programmed for one day to a week at a specific time and duration. The choices that you can choose from are; 24, 48, or 72 hours. By turning the knob you have the different plans you can choose from to set up the durations you would like to choose from.It features a large LCD screen for display that is easy to read and is powered by 2 AAA batteries which are not included. It will fit a standard 3/4” hose that gives a decent amount of pressure. It’s a handy water timer that can be used for many uses such as: irrigation, garden hose watering, lawn sprinkler controller, greenhouse mist system, pool filling, birdbath dripper, rain barrels. This water timer is perfect for my raised garden beds. It allows an automatic watering system that frees up my time and gives the plants a set schedule for their water needs, which is important for plants like tomatoes that will help prevent blossom end rot.Cons: While the inlet is made of brass, the part that you attach the hose with is plastic, it would be better if both ends were made of brass.Pros: It comes with a 5 year warranty

The build quality is decent for the price. The metal twister feels nice hopefully it holds. The problem I have is the digital screen is very blurry. I don’t if it’s like that to prevent any water from getting into the screen from rain or water irrigation. But it does cheapen its feel a bit. Also no light up screen to make it more visible for people that need it. The set up process is a bit complex but not difficult after you figure it out but not the most intuitive. The buttons are a bit of a pain to press down, so that doesn’t help much with setting it up if you mess up the first time and need to adjust it.Update: Raindrip costumer service contact me to address the issue I had. They sent me an improved model which is the R775CT. All I can say it basically solved all the issues I had with the one I originally bought. The screen is better to see and font is bigger as well. It’s backlit if you extra visibility in direct light. Also, it solved my biggest complaint which was the set up. It was so easy and straight forward. Even to set up watering days was a breeze. It would give you the options on the days you want for watering or not as yes or no on those days for selecting. So, this is so much of an improvement. So, I’ll recommend the R775CT.

I already own a 2-outlet Rainpoint timer, which is on its second year of daily usage in my garden without any issues. It's been the best non-WiFi garden timer I've ever purchased. The 1-outlet timer is well-built, loaded with features, and relatively easy to program. Programming the timer can be a little confusing at first, especially for complicated programs. It's very quick and easy for simple programs like the one I'm using (i.e., twice-a-day, every day for 30 mins. for my peppers).Another reviewer gave it one-star because it "does not show battery level". But that's not true. A "low battery" indicator appears on the display when the battery gets low and should be replaced. Obviously, if the battery has enough juice to run the timer, something will be showing on the display. The timer comes with an extensive user manual. The manual recommends that the timer be installed vertically but, in my case, the location I needed it was very low to the ground so I had to use it at a 45 degree angle, but it seems to work find in that position. Rainpoint backs the timer with a 5-year warranty (after it's registered) which is very unusual for a timer. I've used several of the best-selling 1- and 2-outlet timers over the years that are more expensive and come with the typical 1-year warranty, and I've never had one of them last more than 2 years, most only about 1-to-1.5 year. One minor annoyance with this timer is that it's very hard to read the display text when programming in direct sunlight.I've only been using this timer for about a week. I've had no problems with it so far and expect it to keep on working. But if something does go wrong, there's that 5-year warranty.
