I love this huge rain gauge. I have always had a rain gauge, but never one this large. All of the others I’ve had always got knocked off the rail. This one you place in the ground. No worries of it getting knocked down.will th the large numbers it’s easy to read. Just pull out the tube to empty, and your ready for the next shower.

The pole isn't particularly straight, which is a little frustrating. Honestly the whole thing feels a bit "cheap" but it will measure rainfall.I like the gauge being a bright yellow/green that contrasts well with the strip on the back.I'm not sure we really need to be graduated to such a fine degree for measuring rainfall. It can make it a little difficult to make out intervals from a distance. I think 1/4" would probably suffice (3 hashes between each whole number), and be easier to read from afar.It's a decent enough rain gauge. Just a few things I'd like to see done better so I deducted a star but it's not expensive so it certainly worth the money.

Great price for the gauge, first of all. The inch numbers and increments are large an easy to read against the dark (contrast) strip. There is a bright colored disk that floats on the collected water for easy visual reading. The gauge is made from thick , clear, durable plastic.The gauge holder pole is quite short. I installed mine in a dirt-filled pot, on my deck, so the gauge can be read easily from inside the house. The pole can also be put on a pole or post, as the ground ‘fork’ can be detached.

This rain gauge is just about perfect! The numbers are large enough to read from inside our house, and the bright green ring is a wonderful visual. It came well-packed, and was easy to set up in 5 minutes. The dual-pronged rod has stayed straight in the ground through a week of terrible Oklahoma storms. Highly recommend!

We are official old people and need and want to know how much rain we got. We need to discuss it with other old people. This is our second gauge purchased. Our neighbors dog ate the first one and then we couldn’t discuss with other old people how much rain we got. We bought another.
