I bought this item and now I can't install it on my trailer because the thread on the bronze colored side is not 5/8 and it's not even 1/2

It took me 3 trys to get the right replacement valve. Not Emerson Fishers fault, error on my part. My LP heater is now working great.

It’s running 2 90000 btu fryers and a 120000 griddle. And a 200000 btu water heater. No volume problems. Supplied by 2 120 gallon tanks. Does well when the temps hit 25 deg.

Bought this to replace the junkie little thing that came on my RV and would not work in extreme cold (say, minus 20f). It was easy to install (as soon as I realized the input was a standard female P.O.L DUH!) I used a natural gas / propane hook up kit from a localhard ware store (85,000 BTU rated, 24" model CCSO, 38 I.D. flexible stainless steel) to connect the regulator to the propane inlet (see it under the regulator in the picture). I first fastened the regulator to a piece of sheet metal salvaged from an old microwave oven, painted it flat black with high-temp paint, then screwed it to the rock shield on the front of the RV. (see the picture - used a LOT of screws to get good contact.) This provided a MASSIVE (reverse) heat sink for the regulator - I am confident this regulator will work even at minus 35F - (Propane becomes a liquid near minus 40F, I believe that NO regulator will work at that temperature without an outside heat source. If it gets THAT cold, I'll shine a heat lamp on the rock shield - as I had to do with the junkie that came with the RV.)
