I almost did not buy this mill because some reviews said that it spatters food. I did not find that to be the case. It is a beautiful object, very sturdily made and easy to assemble and clean. It made perfect applesauce. My only criticisms are that the handle is a little uncomfortable to hold and, especially given the price, this mill should come with three sieves like every other mill I researched. I ordered all three of the other available discs.

Putting cooked raspberries through a sieve to make purée for ice cream was getting annoying. This is a game changer. It does the job in a fraction of the time and with less effort and, in my case, less spillage. Great for making fruit purée, smooth tomato sauce and so on. Feels like it will last forever.

Large capacity, easy to use and take apart to clean. It greatly reduced the work of making applesauce. I cleaned the screen twice processing 4 quarts of cooked apples.This is a huge improvement over the one I bought in the canning area at the farm store. I wish I'd bought it years ago!

This is very well made, I have used it several times and it works very well. The operation is smooth and leaves little waste. The stainless steel is thick without being heavy and there are no seams. It is easy to put together and take apart. It also washes well. But due to the design of the sides and how they integrate into the bottom/disc area, food is pushed up the sides some as you turn the crank. I have to use a spatula a few times to get everything back downing the bottom of the bowl but it is of such good quality that I don't mind this extra step.

Works perfectly. Recieved the food mill earlier than predicted and have only used it once to puree tomatoes. Works perfectly. Left theskins and seeds behind as advertised. I am very happy with this product so far.

Ich war erst etwas von den negativen Rezensionen (dazu später ein Aspekt unter NB) verunsichert, entschloss mich dann aber doch zu einem Kauf (inkl. des zusätzlichen 4er und 8er Siebes), obwohl ich dieses Passetout zu diesem Zeitpunkt gerade für Kornelkirschmarmelade verwenden wollte.Meine Meinung zu diesen RÖSLE-Teilen aufgrund meiner Erfahrungen bis dato:(Was die Siebteile angeht, haben wir das 1 mm, 3mm, 4mm und 8mm Sieb)+ die heute hier gezeigten Bilder und Beschreibungen passen, im Besonderen auch die zur Verwendung der jeweiligen Siebe ... nichts ist übertrieben+ das Passetout ist für mich in allen Teilen bestens durchdacht+ die Qualität aller Teile ist super, und alle sind unglaublich robust+ die Siebe haben glatte Ränder, sind also verletzungsfrei, auch wenn das 1mm Sieb im Gegensatz zu den anderen "einfach" ;-) umgebogen ist (hier muss man also beim Säubern hinsichtlich eines Schwammes etwas aufpassen)+ das Zusammensetzen und Auseinandernehmen ist total simpel+ auf was passt dieser Rösle: Auf alles Dünnwandige mit min. 15cm bis hin zu ca. 30cm Durchmesser+ die Oberflächen aller Teile sind wunderbar glatt und daher mit Schwamm und Spülmittel einfachst und schnellst zu reinigen (sehe absolut keine Notwendigkeit, es in der Spülmaschine zu stecken)Ob Saucen, Pürees, Suppen, Mus, Spätzle, Marmeladen ... etc.... wir sind wunschlos glücklich !!!Mein Fazit: Auch dieser flotte Rösle verdient ... wie alle anderen Küchengeräte aus diesem Hause, die wir haben ... absolut die 5 SterneNB: Kornelkirschen oder Schlehen:Wir haben mit diesen Früchten/Beeren KEINERLEI PROBLEME!!!Natürlich sollte man hier einige Dinge beachten:> sie müssen vorgedünstet werden (nehme hier zB für 1,8 kg Kornelkirschen 300ml Wasser und dünste sie ca. 12 Minuten)> als Sieb nehme ich gerne das 4mm Teil, um die Marmelade "fruchtiger" werden zu lassen.> mittels einer normalen Haushalts-Schöpfkelle 2 Ladungen in den Rösle geben> langsam! rechts drehen; mit einem Kochlöffels die Früchte immer wieder vor die "Blechöffnung" schieben.> wenn das Fruchtfleisch soweit passiert ist, langsam nach links drehen. Die Kerne positionieren sich dann auf den Blech und können leicht abgenommen werden.> und dann kommt die nächste Ladung.Es geht super schnell, spritzt NICHT und das meiste Fruchtfleisch ist passiert ... super[RÖSLE Passetout mit Gegengriff, Passiermühle zum Passieren von Lebensmitteln, Edelstahl 18/10, spülmaschinengeeignet_B001577314_69|99]

I have never owned a real food mill before. I had a "china hat" with wooden pestle that was not good. This food mill is a quality precision kitchen tool and I love it! It is a joy to use - so easy to use and to clean up afterwards - simple! I made applesauce by just simmering quartered apples with cores and skins and seeds. It easily removed the "debris" and created delicious applesauce. I plan to use it for blackberries to make jelly or jam, mashed potatoes, squash, and so much more! I would highly recommend spending the money for this excellent tool; it is worth every penny!
