I read the instruction for the black plastic tab on the dispenser and figured it out right away. It’s a little slow to empty, but since it’s so small it’s not an issue. It fits perfectly the box/seat Kimpex Nomad.

Used this product for gasoline pouring into a lawnmower or other yard machines and it did not work as well as expected. Ease of use were more difficult than a plain open spout.

Personally, I find gas cans today to be difficult to use. I would argue more dangerous. This one is better than others, but they still expect you to press the spout against the filler neck of whatever you're filling in order to open the gas flow. But if you're filling something like a push mower or leaf blower, the machine might move on you causing you to spill gas! To make this easier to use, I took out the spring so now I just open & close the spout manually. I also clipped off the plastic bit on the spout collar which I guess is supposed to prevent a child from removing the spout. I find the red latch that prevents the spout from opening accidentally to be way too difficult to press into the open position. It's a good idea to have it - especially if you've removed the auto-close spring! - because otherwise that spout is very easy to open accidentally. I'm debating if I should attempt to make that latch easier to open. If you disable the safety mechanisms to make this easier and I would argue safer to use, the onus is on you to make sure it's used properly and you don't have an accident. Gasoline is very dangerous.

I like these cans. They work great and according to what i've been told meet DOT requirements which is improtant due to traveling with a landscape trailer. Okay now for the but! #1 Do not throw away the caps because rain will collect on them on open trailers and if you forget will go right into your equipment if not emptied. #2 They are a little more argravating to use and I have seen, but not sugggesting, the red sliders removed to make it easier. #3 In hot weather always release the pressure that builds up inside the cans or you will/may have gas spray all over you and or the ground. Even with these minor issues I will continue to use this type because nothing is perfect...

I have used Midwest gas cans before. The locking and unlocking on this one seems more tricky to get it open and some times it doesn't lock back into place. I bought this to use for 2cycle oil and gasoline mix.

I couldn’t figure it out at first, had to find a YouTube video. The red button on my purchase was really hard to depress and a needed a pair of channel locks the first couple of times.Working fine now after about 10 cycles. Auto shutdown works nice now.
