I like it a lot. Yes, I have regular funnels, but this is much more convenient. Everything together, is already attached to the gas can. Pop the short "funnel" in the gas tank and turn it on. Doesn't necessarily speed up things (unless you lost your funnel!) but it's more efficient and probably keeps your fuel cleaner if you're gassing up a dirty piece of equipment - in my case a gas-powered chipper.

I have a gas can that I hated using because it seemed to drip more on the ground and me then it got in the tank. The rubber gasket was still there but all out of shape and didn't seal the spout. This is a great replacement and upgrade. No more leaks and gas on shoes and hands. I would recommend this to others.

I wish I would have known before buying the 5 gallon jugs that I would need the funnel to use it for my car. Of course it didn't come with the jug. But the funnel works perfectly.

Well the bottle an the rest of it is very lightweight it connects well however it did take a while to get I ordered it because I needed it but had to pick up another because after weeks of not getting it I didn't think it was coming but it finally came so I tried it out. It works like it should nozzle doesn't leak or drip it has a good even spray , easy to use but it is a lighter weight plastic which I would think it's be a little more heavy duty to last longer. It fit great & I will use it because it does work & no issues with it just took a long time to get!

My 3 year old Scepter 2 gal gas can spout finally cracked and rather than toss a perfectly good gas container and spend more to buy a complete replacement, I ordered the SmartControl spout instead.Perfect fit and identical quality to my original.If your Scepter gas container is in good shape, but, you just need a replacement spout, this IS the one to order.5 Stars!

If you have one of these Scepter gas cans with the SmartControl spout you know the good and the bad of it. The good obviously being the fact that it only pours when you let it, and it seals in those pesky gasoline fumes (nice in my case with the gas can for my mower that lives in the garage). The bad is that it can be a bit tedious to operate. That being said, the good qualities definitely outweigh the tediousness of its operation. Again, if you have one of these, you know what I mean.This being from Scepter it is an exact replacement for the spouts on my existing cans. I have one I had broken off a piece (user error), so wanted to get a replacement. This one fits and works just like it came with the can originally.The bonus spout extender is for filling anything that has a recessed gas tank opening; essentially vehicles. Because the Scepter SmartControl spout is fairly short, the extender gives a much better target for pouring fuel into the gas tank opening. The extender itself holds the spring-loaded lid open, and the ring on the side helps to hold it up so it doesn't flop all over the place and spill fuel everywhere.Amazon is chock-full of generic replacement parts for items from A to Z, and often at a can't beat price (meaning, well less than the manufacturer's replacement). How refreshing it is to find an actual manufacturer's authentic part -- and not an insignificant or simple one -- at what I consider to be generic pricing. Great buy.
