Installation Steps:
- Find the correct window sill position.
- Find mounting holes.
- Assemble Connector Bar with support body and drilling 5/32" *2" screwing holes into window sill.
- Align and Mount to Sill. See if A/C Support shelf will clear all obstacles on sill,using Rounded Spacer, Flat Spacer(s) and Block.
- Place end of leg flat against underside of shelf . Position Leg foot pad against exterior surface.
- Final Mounting. Slightly tilt for draining condensation of moisture.

Window Requirements
- Window sill thickness cannot exceed 16 inches
- Window sill must be a minimum of 2 inches deep
- Window sill must be able to accept 2 1/2 inches long screws
- Sliding window lip or window stool cannot exceed 1 7/8 inches
- Cannot be used with slide casement or casement windows
Block & Spacer
The spacer can be adjusted on the block according to the inclination of the window sill to keep the balance of the brace so that the bracket can be installed well on window sill.

Our window unit held up just fine without this, but we remove the unit in the fall and reinstall in the spring. It is located on the third floor so it was always a hassle to install and remove. This inexpensive item makes this task a breeze. Wish I would have purchased it along time ago. Good quality with plenty of hardware for installation.

EASY! The most time consuming part was adjusting the angle of the legs to fit the house.AND WHERE DO THE CLIP PINS FIT!#Could not find this in the directions or online. Videos don't address this either.Its over priced, or I would have bought multiples.Clean, sleek and sturdy!

I bought this to hopefully make the installation of a 10,000 btu unit easier in a vinyl window. In past years I have had to use scraps of wood under the back of the unit in the window and a 2x4 length to support the back of the unit where it is furthest from the house. The instruction sheet was a bit lacking, but after watching the video I figured it out. This doesn't have any levels built into the frame, but I don't think this will be a problem, I can use a level to make sure it is tipped slightly towards the back for proper drainage.Some of the other reviews must be for other, similar products because this does not have blocks that need to be screwed into the window, nor do you have to use any tools to assemble this.I don't have anyone to help me with the installation today, but should get someone before the weekend is over. I will update this if we find that it doesn't work like it should! Edit: Installed A/C unit today and this works great! Once we put it in the window, it was very easy to check the level of the frame and adjust it to tip back slightly for drainage. Very easy to put the unit in the window and not worry about having someone hanging on to it so it wouldn't fall until the window was closed. I will most likely order another one of these to use with my upstairs A/C next spring.

Directions for this item are severely lacking. I used the video on the product page to get a better idea of what to do, but even then had to improvise. The cotter pins won't go in unless the spring pin is flipped so that the spring doesn't block the holes. The anti slip brackets cannot be installed as shown in the video. Ended up bending the tab on the bracket so that it could get close to matching what the video shows with the bracket sticking up and the two smaller tabs resting on the main arms. Once I worked through the assembly the end product certainly seems sturdy. Overall I think the price on this item is high, especially with the installation challenges.

Our contractor decided to take the easy way out and we hadn't noticed at first as lake house is closed in winter. His work was first-rate; the shelf was something from recycling. Awful.Simple installation, adjustable fit, and appears to be total maintenance free. Doing what it's supposed to.
