Very nice window air conditioner support bracket. Very strong construction.Assembly is very straightforward. The only challenge is aligning the support legs. Using a measuring tape speeds up the process. I recommend having a helper to hold the bracket in place but I did the installation by myself. The end result is a bracket that is strong enough to stand on (I weigh over 200 lbs.).When correctly installed with your air conditioner, this bracket allows for opening the window for fresh air and to use cooler air in the mornings.Tips:1. Measure the window. I installed this in a 36 inch wide window. That is the maximum width this bracket supports. The tray width is 16 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Center the air conditioner to maintain balance and to reduce vibration and noise. I attached a 1/8 inch rubber gasket (purchased separately) on the tray to reduce vibration.2. Double check your siding. Some of the weight is transferred to your siding via the legs. Your siding should not bend or break under weight (perhaps 1/3 of the air conditioner weight).3. 12-inch bubble level. The goal is a 5 degree slope downwards so that water does not come inside.4. Foam (2 inch by 2 inch by window length) to go between the window frame and the bracket, and between the bracket and the air conditioner. The goal is to insulate under and over the frame. I also used spray foam such as "GE Gaps & Cracks Insulating Foam" to create an air, water and bug proof installation all around the air conditioner. I added 1x2 foam on the window bottom to create an airtight installation with the operable part of the window so that I can open and close the window. In summary this bracket is high quality and will support small and big/heavy window air conditioners.

I noticed our air conditioner was no longer seated properly in the window due to its weight, so I ordered this bracket to solve the problem—and it worked perfectly. It also helped protect our new windows from potential damage. Since we live in a second-floor condo, and our storage unit is in the basement of another building, removing and reinstalling the air conditioner wasn’t a desirable option.Assembly was straightforward, and it helped that I watched some online videos about the process before the product arrived. One thing to keep in mind is that this bracket is designed for universal applications, so you’ll likely need additional weather stripping or tape to seal any air gaps around the window, especially at the bottom of the air conditioner.

Seems to be well made how it stands up over time is yet to be seen. Skeptical at first because of the no tools assembly but there is plenty of adjustment with the movable snap together sections. You literally snap it together adjust it correctly to fit your window and slide the air conditioner into place. No more hanging on to it with your fingernails while some closes the window on them. Only needs to be adjusted once so you could, if you wanted, drill and screw it solid afterward but it doesn't seem necessary. Now about the price. There are plenty of other choices that seem to serve the same purpose at lower prices. I have not tried any of them but after seeing the simplicity of this I would try one of them before paying $80 bucks for another one of these. It's up to you.

Although a bit pricey, this support blows away the one that came with the air conditioner.Easily installs in minutes, no fiddling around with screws and whatever. You do not even have to look at the instructions. You get what you pay for, highly recommended.

Our landlord had recently put in new windows in the house we are renting (great!) We have a rather LARGE window AC unity since we do not have air conditioning in the house. Our AC was able to rest perfectly in our old wooden windows np; however, after these new plastic trim windows were put in, our AC could no longer rest along the bottom of the window with a plastic part that was now there sticking up. We couldn't use screw-in AC supports due to the whole window-sil being plastic and we are renters. Thankfully this product was a blessing to us! Extremely easy to set up, the bar rests in front of the annoying plastic bump that sticks up in our windows and holds up our extremely big AC unit with no problems and no slipping! The price is abit steep, but was totally worth it! No more suffering 90 degree heat upstairs YAY!

I bought this because I was remembering how difficult it was last year putting the AC bracket that came with my AC unit in the window. I was hoping to find something easier and I was not disappointed. So easy, no tools required and fit better than the original. Definitely worth the money.

For years we’ve struggled to support our AC on the second floor of our condo. We usually end up balancing it on the tiny ledge of our vinyl window, using a bunch of foam insulation, little nut clips to keep the window down secure (which chews up the vinyl window frame) and white duct tape to make it more secure. We hate the task of getting it set up and taken out each summer.I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try. I was worried that the support arms wouldn’t fit into the window channel, but found a photo review showing the arms on the inside of the frame, not in the windows sliding channel. The arms width measure just over 3/4 inch, (they’re 13/16 of an inch) which made them slightly too wide for the channel on our windows, which are 3/4” exactly. No sweat! I secured it on the inside of the window frame, as you can see in the pictures. I ended up needing the support legs almost all the way in, 5 slots from the smallest. The hardest part was having to squeeze the pins a million times to slide the brackets to their desired location. If that’s the biggest gripe for this then it’s pretty dang minor, as you don’t need any tools and don’t need to drill into anything. I hated our vinyl windows because of the AC unit issue, but from now on I’ll relish in the ease of setting this up.I haven’t actually put the AC on the support yet (way too early for that in Vermont), but after installing the bracket and pushing a lot of weight on it, I’m 100% positive this will work!Excellent product, innovative, sturdy and so easy to install I almost can’t believe it!If you’re debating this purchase, just buy it! Totally worth the money to have it be this easy!

I added a small 2x2cm at the back to stop it sliding. It was not sliding without it but a little extra security will help if it is bumped really hard or there is a cyclone or something.

It is solid as, used it with a kelvinator window ac. Just plonked it on top and duct tape. 10 sec job, love it. Australia.
