This will be my third controller I have purchased in 4 years. Not very good for such an expensive controller.

Happened upon a pellet stove helping with a remodel, got it for a reasonable price, as it was not going to be re-used in the remodel. The thermostat unfortunately was not saved in the tear out. Was pleased to be able to order a new one, the thermostat was just right to get this used pellet stove up and running again. It is my thought, that the thermostat was a bit expensive...the cost was more than expected.

This was going to cost me $399 from the pellet stove company PLUS install! My husband installed it in less than 10 minutes. Super happy.

I like the fact that my Mt Vernon AE has gone for weeks now w/o a thermostat reboot! The previous thermostat was very sensitive to humidity - it worked well for a few weeks each fall then would frequently spaz out for the rest of the winter. As a workaround I plugged in the stove to a smart plug and reset the unit automatically each day at 5:30am. That worked pretty well last year but this year I’d had enough! The unit was a direct replacement as expected. The display is still hard to see - even harder than the original I think. But the buttons work like they should, the daily program does it’s thing and it’s easy to bump the setting up or down like any normal thermostat. My biggest beef would be the cost - $240 for a thermostat compared to smart WiFi thermostats that are half that price and non-WiFi for under $50. But I’m stuck with the proprietary interface so no other options! Well I do appreciate the automatic flame control working as it should - e.g. hi flame when the room temperature is well below the set point e.g. in the morning when the schedule goes from 64 degrees up to 68.If this holds up for 8 years I will be happy!Side note - I also resolved frequent auger jams... not with the new thermostat but by cleaning the dust away from the optical sensor on the auger. A vacuum or air jet will do this w/o removing the auger. (Wish I had known that earlier!!)UPDATE 3/23 - the wall control is still working fine as described above. I did finally have to replace the auger rotation sensor last fall and did the auger motor as well but pretty sure it was the sensor. No more auger jams 2/3 if the way thru the season
