I was pleasantly surprised by this, I guess because I did not read the description very well and thought it was exactly like the one we were replacing which was like a styrofoam version but this one is not made of styrofoam and is very sturdy. Works well.

This cover would work and look great in a firebox large enough to accommodate it. Unfortunately, it is too large to fit in my fireplace and I had to send it back.
