The Test meter worked well. It was smaller than l expected but that makes it handy for taking around. It’s good enough to use for quick testing.

I can be very cheap some times and had put off buying a clamp on amp meter for years. Now that I have one I use it all the time. This little meter works great. I have compared its accuracy with readings off the fancy shunt-based battery monitor on my boat and find it agrees perfectly. It even seems to be reasonably accurate for very small readings down to about 1 amp. I have not tested it below that level.

This is a great and very functional multimeter, with the added functionality of a current clamp meter, measuring AC and DC current. The user interface is fairly basic, with a single select button to cycle through the functions. Some function icons are dual purpose, with the AC and DC versions of that measurement selected separately as the SEL button cycles through. The probes (basic ones are supplied) connect to TWO sockets on the base of the device. Note that there is no probe input for current measurements - these are performed using the clamp only. The inclusion of a thermocouple probe was very welcome. The device also constantly displays the ambient temperature, presumably using an internal temperature sensor.I needed to use the current measurement function and I found it accurate enough for my purposes. One feature that I did notice that on the DC current range (I didn't try AC), it's rather sensitive to nearby electrical items, so the reading tends to vary somewhat if it is moved around while clamped round the wire being measured. Therefore I found it was best to clamp it round the wire (unpowered), then turn the meter on. The initial "CAL" process zeros the measured current. Then enable power in the wire being measured.Overall, recommended, and a useful addition to my measurement equipment collection.

The contacts in the probe connectors are not securely fixed, such that the contact rotates within the plastic and causes the wire to break off internally. The meter itself is functional but lacks any kind of protection against overvoltage or dust.Other notable things include that the meter beeps when turned on, defaults to DC measurements, and the screen backlight turns off after 30 seconds.

It's good. I like th ergonomics. I like being able to hold it in my hand and using my thumb to throw the little wheel to change modes, which is super convenient. The probes it comes with are fine. It also comes with a temp probe which I honestly can't figure out why I would ever use it. Nice touch I suppose. Others have stated that it doesn't measure amps correctly but my unit works fine and correctly displays the amps. One nice-to-have that it lacks is that "auto" won't switch between AC and DC measurements automatically. I can't, for instance, measure a car battery and then turn around and test my outlet to see if my float charger is working without remembering to hit the button. The only real gotcha is that the clamp does NOT measure voltage, it only indicates the presence of voltage. If you're looking for something like a fluke which will give you the voltage from the clamp, this isn't it. It only tells you if the wire is live. For the cost, it's hard to complain.

This meter is amazing for the price. It has a lot of different test options, the little alligator clips that come with it are a nice little bonus for vehicle testing when you can’t hold the leads, and having the amp clamp is a good added option. It works really well and the readings are easy to see and understand unlike my last meter. You can’t compare it to the high end models that you can get but for the price it’s worth having because like me, most people aren’t using this daily but when you need it, it’s there and it’s convenient. So far I love having this meter and would definitely recommend it, especially for people that work on vehicles

I didn't realize it at the time, but I had already bought this product. However, years ago I was an electronic technician, & forgot much, but I've begun to learn again, working on my motorcycle, things about the house, & repairing my air conditioner, which is far different from electronics. This meter does all the usual voltage, amperage, & resistance, but more importantly, capacitance & temperature. One meter will probably go inside the house or car.

I bought it to do use for DC Amps while working with lithium batteries on a Ebike. The digital display changes fast enough to get the maximum current on acceleration. Just what I was looking for I've used it about a week and it's working so far. Update: I've used it for a month so far. Working great. It can also measure A/C capacitors to see if they're starting to go bad before they ruin your motors. You can measure the current on the compressor and the fan on your air conditioner to see if they're going bad. Great meter with a lot of functions. Very good buy.

I needed to make some DC clamp-on current measurement around a few Amps. This meter only has one current range, 0-600A, so I had some concern. Mine showed an offset of -4.5A before zeroing, which is not at unusual for this type of measurement. I checked it on a test setup with a power supply, load, and Fluke DVM all in series. This meter agreed with the Fluke over the range I tested from 0.5 to 5A. The manual says the wire should be centered in the jaws. I move the wire around to all extremes in the jaws and it had no effect on the reading at the current levels I was testing. It also agreed with the Fluke exactly on voltage and resistance measurements. I wound up making measurements down to the 0.1A resolution level of the meter. The instructions say it's best to clamp the meter on the wire with the current off, zero the meter, and then turn on the current. I couldn't control the current independently so put the jaws near the wire, zeroed the meter, and then clamped it on. It worked well. One way to check is to flip the meter over and check the current again. If the measurements agree to within 0.1A with the sign reversed, you're good. With the supplied, leads, thermocouple temp probe, alligator clips and case, it's an amazing value. It even includes a tiny Philips driver for the battery door. The one thing it should include and doesn't is a magnifying glass to read the incredibly tiny print in the manual
